About Me
I am 49 years old and have worked as a registered childminder for 20 years. I live in a 4 bedroomed house in the maes-y-rhiw, Greenmeadow, Cwmbran with my family. I have a 13 year old son called Max. I am friendly, happy and caring and like to strike up a good relationship with the parents so they feel they can approach me if they need help or advise. I love to take the children to groups, park, library and the local farm etc.
I have first aid and food hygiene certificates and I am inspected regularly by the CIW (inspection reports available). I provide a fun, safe and stimulating environment for children giving them encouragement to develop lots of skills.
My Experience
I have 18 years experience and have looked after many children which have stayed with me until school age. I have cared for many different age groups from newborns to pre-schoolers and teens. I love to pass my knowledge to them and have had reports that the children I have cared for are ahead in school. My home is kept safe and I do regular risk assessments on my home and garden to ensure it stays this way. I did two years of a peadiatric nursing degree which i loved but didnt manage to complete due to circumstances. I like to provide a nice relaxed, happy environment for the children. I enjoy taking the children to local groups and parks and providing age appropriate indoor activities too. I have most equipment needed for babies e.g car seats, highchair and cot and pushchairs.
My Qualifications
I completed a 'access course' at Pontypool college which gave me enough qualifications to do a pediatric nursing degree in Cardiff (two years completed). This has given me lots of knowledge about childhood illness's ect and the emotional and physical needs of a child.
I have completed the ICP course that all childminders must do to qualify. first aid, food hygiene. I can do a small amount of sign language which I would like to develop.
I have lots of different policy's and procedures which are available to view.

Tabitha is very caring child minder she does lots with the children she takes them out. she had my daughter Jessica from nine months old she now four yrs old she has done well with her if you need her she would be happy to help if she can thank you tab yr great.
would recommend Tabitha as a very highly respected lady, looked after my son Cellun for 2 years children will have lots 2 do loads of toys 2 play with and she takes the children out also my little boy still misses her in school now thank u hun xx

I have full and part time places availability for up to 3 children. I am available between 8am and 5.30pm, although this can be discussed.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are £5 per hour (April 22) this could be subject to change although I will give plenty of notice. This does not include meals. I ask for the parent to provide food e.g packed lunch for outings. I also request that the children are sent with spare clothes/nappies/formula and any comforters.
I do give a small discount for siblings.
bank holidays are payable holidays for me.
sick pay etc to be discussed (usually unpaid for me and full fee for child)

Tabitha is very accommodating, and reliable. My kids love spending time with her, which puts my mum guilt at ease. When possible she always takes them to the park, soft play, or the local farm etc. It was very important to me that if the kids were going to be in a childcare setting, it would an enriching experience. And she always proved that was the case whilst they were in her care.

Tabitha has had my daughter (4 years old) for over a year now and now has my son (3 years old) and I cannot recommend her care highly enough.
She is absolutely fantastic with my kids and the other children in her care, they are always doing something like going on farm trips, afternoons at the park, soft play or just art and crafts at her house.
Both my children absolutely love being with Tabitha and her family. She is incredibly trustworthy, reliable and always makes sure the children in her care are happy and having the best time

Tabitha has been looking after my son Finley since he was 9 months old. He absolutely loves going to Tabitha's. He has so many great experiences with her from going to the local farm to the park. He has come on leaps and bounds since going to Tabitha's. He enjoys playing with the other children and from what i can see when i drop him off the other children absolutely love him too. Honestly Tabitha i cant thank you enough. Amazing, Amazing Amazing. X

Unfortunately I can’t give a good review. I wanted to sing up My 4 Boys with Tabitha as looking on her wonderful reviews. I don't know it's because I'm homeschooling my Sons or because I'm not British nationality, she was not into having My Boys, all the time looking for some excuses and finally saying one another child took places.
I'm really feeling bad about it. Nothing like this happened to Me before in UK.

Perhaps very poor communication as my priority is the children in my care. Due to circumstances and the volume of children, schooling requirements etc I felt it was not in the best interest of the older two boys as I am unable to homeschool and care for toddlers. I am not racist and I was never rude to you but you were to me.

Our Oliver loves going to Tabithas and he has come on so much with his speech since! He always wants to go there and when his dad drops him off he says he's straight into the house and doesn't even look back which is such a comfort to us! He especially loves Tabithas dressing up collection (hulk and iron man the best) even though we live a while away I'm so glad we found her to take care of our son🥰

Tabitha has has my son since he was 8 months old and I cannot recommend her care enough.
She is absolutely fantastic with the children and they are always entertained with farm trips, park days and lots more.
Tabitha has played a big part of his new skills and development and this has put him in good stead for nursery.
He constantly asks when he's going next if it's a day he's not there and loves every moment he is with her, this for me is so reassuring when I'm at work.

I was so scared to leave Bodhi with anyone, let alone a childminder who he didn’t know. He cried on the first and second day when I dropped him off. By day 3 he just walked straight in. Tab is absolutely brilliant with him and he loves going there. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I love receiving pictures throughout my working day of what he has got up to.

Tabitha is a very caring childminder. She makes sure the children she looks after have lots of fun, by doing lots of indoor & outdoor activities. My little boy loves her!! I would recommend her without a doubt !
