About Me
I am a registered childminder and I live in Henllys, Cwmbran with my husband and 2 children, one is in school full time, the other is in college full time.
I have lots of experience with children and provide a safe, happy and relaxed environment. I'm inspected regularly by the CIW and am a member of the NCMA. Myself, my husband and Matilda-my 16 year old are all fully DBS checked..we are all on the update service.
I have a 7 seater car, that is fully MOT'ed and insured for multi passenger use, which I use for collection and drop offs to and from nursery's and schools in the local area.
We enjoy lots of outings to our local farm where I hold a yearly pass. Along side this we attend lots of local mother and toddler groups.
My Experience
I have lots of expience with children of all ages and enjoy very much creating a safe, fun and stimulating environment with activities whilst at home. Along with other local childminders I also attend local toddler/play groups and indoor play area's, also weather permitting parks, local farm and wetlands-nature reserves etc.
I have 5 children of my own. Including 3 older daughters one is at uni, another lives and works locally to us and my eldest daughter has her own home living in Scotland. We also have 2 children still at home aged 16 & 14 years old. Being a mum is the biggest joy in my life.
I am aware that all children are individuals and so try my best to provide age and stage relevant activities and support.
I am happy to provide meals, but do prefer that parents provide their child with a packed lunch, as the parents know their childs likes/dislikes and any food intolerances-allergies that the child may have.
My Qualifications
I have a variety of qualifications, including 7 GCSE's, a two year course in community care giving me a diploma in community care. Also when working completed an NVQ level 1-2 & 3.
Then I decided to follow in my mums footsteps to become a nurse, sucessfully completed a full time access to nursing course. I subsiquently spent two years at Cardiff university training to be a nurse. I have put this career on hold to concentrate on bringing up my own children and so completed a childminding course allowing me to work from home. Since then I have competed a food hygeine course, paediatric first aid & safe guarding course, along with other courses numerous times.
I occasionally work on the NHS nurse bank as an N/A I have training in manual handling and blood glucose monitoring etc.
My Availability
At the moment I have two full or part time spaces. Im also available for before and after school times. My usual working hours start at 7am and end at 6pm, but there is some flexibility on this.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
To be worked out with parents...generally £5 per hour. In April 2025 my hourly rate will be increasing to £6 in line with recommendations.

After moving into the area we had no knowledge of childcare and Haley made our decision so easy! Meeting Haley in her setting just reassured us that we were making the right decision, our daughter loves going and made friends with other children very quickly - all encouraged by Haley. Days out, time in the garden and crafts has helped our daughter develop new skills and we would highly recommend!

Haley has taken amazing care of my daughter who will shortly be leaving haleys care for school in September.
This was my first experience with a child care provider and has been my only, my daughter has been cared for by haley since she was 10months old and I had to return to work,shes now almost 5.
Reliable,friendly,caring, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Amazing with my work schedule.
I feel so incredibly lucky to have found such a great person! My daughter loves haley and we are going to be so sad to be leaving.

After dealing with numerous childcare providers with my first born I was very weary of who I chose to mind my second for me to go back to work & college, safe to say I couldn’t have chosen a better child minder, Haley was recommended by a friend and I’m so glad she was as my daughter absolutely idolises her. Haley is by far one of the most caring people I’ve met and more importantly I feel my daughter is completely safe and very happy when she’s with Haley which to me is what mattered most. Not only is Haley amazing with my daughter she has also gone the extra mile for me when needed and helped as best she can through any issues I may have had over time, I honestly couldn’t recommend this lovely lady enough :)

Haley has been nothing but fantastic with both my children. My son didn’t want to go to school and would of stayed with her forever if her could. My daughter feels right at home in her company and has come on leaps and bounds since being with Haley. Such a friendly, yet professional childminding service. She always goes out of her way for anyone. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
