About Me
Hi, I work with my husband (registered assistant) and have three children. I have received three consecutive Outstanding grading from Ofsted and parents are able to claim children's 15 hour government funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds as well as 30 hour government funding for 3 and 4 year olds withing my setting. I hold a NVQ Level 4 qualified in Childrens Care Learning and Development , Level 3 Forest School Leader and a variety of other qualifications. I provide a small-scale family childcare facility that is stimulating, warm and welcoming but with the added benefit of being in a home from home environment. I can therefore care for each of the children to the very best of my ability. My aim is not only to promote an extremely relaxing childcare atmosphere at all times, but also to offer the best possible start to the children's education. DBS checked, first aid trained, public and employer's liability insurance.

I already have childcare experience myself having three children of my own. I have cared for children from under 1 years old up to 12 years old.

My Availability
Full or part time places for children aged 3 months and upwards are available. Funded places for 2, 3 & 4 year olds are available. I operate Monday to Friday as well as school holidays (but not bank holidays).

Our son was with Emma for over 2 years and we are absolutely blown away by the professionalism and setting of her services. Emma has great communication and has always kept us up-to-date. She's very caring and offers a wide range of activities. One thing that we really loved is the relaxed home setting. Our son absolutely loved his time with Emma and we felt reassured knowing that he was in safe hands at her setting. We would thoroughly recommend. :)

Emma has been looking after our daughter for two years and we are really happy with the care she has received. Emma provides a huge variety of activities in a safe environment. This includes a multitude of toys but also singing, books, crafts and more. In addition, she provides home learning activities which are designed around your child to help further their development. She also provides three meals a day, a good variety of healthy meals. Emma supported us with potty training as well as many other areas such as learning to share, eating independently and so on. She gives us reports regularly so we can see how our daughter is doing. She is really caring and genuinely gives the children a home from home environment.
Our little one is very happy to go in to Emma’s in the mornings and has a lot of little friends that she will be sad to say goodbye to! Thank you so much Emma for all the hard work, care and support!!

I have been using Emma to look after my youngest daughter for the past few years but the time has now come for her to start school.
Emma is more than your typical childminder working within her own home but with a room designed for the children. Monthly activity/ learning plans, home learning packs with reading books provided as well as all of her knowledge and experiences within early years. This has been a huge benefit as we felt our daughter was getting above and beyond what a preschool could provide and therefore have been able to remain with Emma instead of struggling as parents with the typical 9-3 hours a preschool provide.
In addition to our youngest daughter attending Emma’s setting, our eldest daughter has also been able to attend during school holidays where Emma has gone above and beyond to ensure her needs are met with engaging fun activities provide.
Emma provides 3 meals a day, flexible hours and adapts to the needs of the child. In the long days of the winter months it’s no problem for the children to have that little down time and take a little nap or when they are feeling slightly under the weather, Emma will keep in contact and offer help and advise. And to sharing and celebrating experiences that happen within the day or away from the setting.

Emma and Gary provide fantastic childcare, care a lot about the children and are very proffessional. From the first settling in meet up I knew my daughter would love being with them and the other children. My daughter has never napped so well away from home and enjoys the activities that Emma plans for them. We get a detailed run down of what our daughter has been doing during the day, how she has been in herself and what she had eaten - which our daughter loves going through in the car on the way home. Emma will send us updates during the day by message if we were at all worried about her on drop off (e.g. she had a bad nights sleep or was teething or generally having an off morning) which is very reassuring.

Our little girl has been going to Emma’s since she was 9 months old. From the minute we had a trial day at the setting, my partner and I knew instantly that Emma was the one. We had been to a couple before but it just didn’t feel like the right fit for us, but Emma instantly made us feel comfortable and no questions were silly questions, she made us feel at ease from day one.
Our little girl loves going to Emma’s, aka ‘school’ and she has developed so much in her time there. Emma also adds personal touches and lets you know how your little one is through the day.
We couldn’t recommend Emma any higher, she and her husband are the best of the best!
Although the journey is a little far from us, we wouldn’t change it for the world because our daughter is so settled there.
And one last thing, Emma has the most infectious laugh and smile! She is an absolute diamond.

We have been so very lucky to have found Emma for our little boy. As new parents this was our first experience with child care and what an experience it was. From the beginning Emma put us at ease, invited us to her setting to see the area and arrange a settling in date, Emma gave us information about what she provided and took time to listen to our worries, and any questions we had. She then arranged a settling in session for us where I dropped my little boy off for only 2 hours, to say I was nervous was an understatement but....Emma soon sent me photos of my son playing with all
The lovely toys she has. Right away I knew he would absolutely fine and in very good hands!
On collecting my little boy he was happy to see me and waved goodbye to Emma, the following week our little one started his regular day care, and on his own little journey. Since then he has come on so very much in what seems like no time at all. Emma provides such a beautiful homely environment, all the children at Emma's ALWAYS look happy and there is so much going on. Emma provides a stimulating and educational environment packed with loads of fun! Emma really takes the time to get to know the parents and is always at the end of the phone or any queries no matter what the time. At the end of each day Emma provides a report on how the day went and what my little boy got up to, how his mood was, what he ate and how he slept. This was so re-assuring. Emma makes a scrap book for each child which parents/guardians contribute to. Emma really was one of the only people I completely trusted with my little boy. It is with a very heavy heart that we are moving out of the area and therefore cannot continue with her service. Emma provides an invoice each month and her fees are very reasonable, she really could charge the earth and I would have paid, there's no price you can put on the peace of mind and safety of your child. So a huge huge thank you to Emma & Gary!

My daughter has been attending Emma’s setting for about 4.5 years and I honestly couldn’t be happier. She started at approx. 7 months old and attended full time and now continues to attend in the school holidays. She is always excited to go to Emma’s to see what variety of activities they will be doing and loves to see her friends.
Emma & Gary have supported and encouraged my daughter and it is clear they are passionate about what they do - so much thought and effort goes into everything. Even during the pandemic I can’t fault the extra steps and precautions they took every day. As a key worker it gave me peace of mind knowing how much they were doing to try and protect my child as well as their own family.
You are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome at Emma’s and truly wonderful and loving care for your child(ren). I can’t thank Emma & Gary enough for all they have done and continue to do for my daughter and I.

Our daughter has been going to Emma’s for almost three years now and loves her time there. The children do so many varied activities and Emma has always made sure everyone gets included no matter their age or ability. The communication between parents and the setting is brilliant, including daily updates, termly reports, and clear breakdown of fees. It’s clear that Emma is genuinely interested in and cares about the children who attend the setting and they thrive in her care. Emma appears very knowledgable about child development and ways to support them at different stages. Being a childminder over the last few years of COVID must have been no easy job but Emma has consistently followed and kept up to date with government advice, keeping the setting and the children there as safe as possible. We feel very lucky to have found Emma for our childcare needs during these early years.

So grateful to have found Emma back in 2017 for my first born. When returning to work after having my second son during the pandemic I didn’t think twice about contacting Emma to see if she had availability. I couldn’t be happier with the care she has provided for both of my boys. Highly recommend.

Emma and Gary took care of our first son until he started school and our 17 month old has recently started in the setting upon my return to work. It has been lovely to find somewhere where they both settled so quickly (my youngest barely looks back at me when I drop him off!). They have both been made to feel so welcome and I know I don’t need to worry about them at all. There is always a great variety of activities, good communication and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anyone looking for a childminder in the area.
