About Me
We are a mum and daughter who work together to offer a friendly and welcoming childminding service.
We are fully Ofsted registered. We have taken a range of training including first aid, food hygine, allergy awareness, Makaton level 2. We are also an E-Cat ( Every Child a Talker) setting
We offer 2 year old funding and 15 hour and 30 hour funding to 3 and 4 year olds.
We offer the children in our care a range of activities including trips to the park, beach and library. At home we do craft work, painting, cooking, music and dancing.
We have a small fully enclosed garden with slides, sand pit and water play. We encourage the children to learn about how things grow by planting seeds and bulbs.
We have 2 small dogs and 2 cats.
Our home is just 5 minutes walk from the railway station, town centre and bus routes.
We offer nursery and school drop offs/ collections to Roman Hill Primary School.
We are open 52 weeks but close all bank holidays.
We are open 6am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
We accept children from birth to 14 years old.

We are both level 3 qualified and have all relevant qualifications needed for our registration.

My child started with Alex and Vicki from 5 months. I chose them over anyone else because they were the only childminders who interacted with my son when we went to meet them. My instinct was so right, these guys are amazing. Flexible, friendly and really care about each and every child.

The ladies at Sparkles are amazing! My daughter loves her time there. Misses them when she has to go back to school. I would recommend them to any parent. 5’s from us!

My children attended sparkle childcare for just over a year. Both my son and daughter loved attending, making friends etc. my little boy had problems with his speech and Alex and Vicki supported me and him through this and when he was having problems with different foods. Sparkle childcare were really flexible and had my children early in the mornings for me and my partner to go to work. They also had them in the evenings if I needed them to plus the weekend I have to work and you don't get many childminders that will do that. I'm gutted my children don't go anymore as I feel they were bringing them on really well I would highly recommend sparkle child care and if I had the. Notice I would continue using them. Thanks for all your support and flexibility with my children x x

Sparkle childcare is fantastic! I cannot recommend them highly enough.
My 1 year old daughter regularly goes to Vicky & Alex and loves it. There is plenty to do from trips to the park & library to playing with the guinea pigs & making things . The home is so welcoming, yet child safe with lots of bright pictures / posters and items the children have made.
Since my daughter started going there she has participated in celebrating Chinese New Year and World Book day.
They are extremely flexible and can take my daughter at very short notice at ANYTIME weekends included which is such a godsend when my partner is away on business, and I love the fact that I can pay as i go. In the past I have had to book and pay for a place at nursery a month in advance!
The children are encouraged to eat healthily and also taught to be polite & respectful to each other.
