About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder living in the Bennetts End/ Nash Mills area of Hemel Hempstead. I have a teenage son.
I offer care ranging from birth to 11 years old. I have a large home and garden and have a separate play room with toys catering for a wide range of ages.
I take the children on regular trips to the park and take younger children to the local toddler group and soft play to ensure they mix with other children and learn to socialise.
I am able to do morning school drop off and pick up at 3.15 from Chambersbury but may be able to do lunchtime pickups from other nurseries near to Bennett’s end and can offer the 15 hours funding that could be available to you .
I am happy to take children in school holidays only as some of the children just attend during the term

My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2006 and have looked after children ranging from 6 months to 11 years old and also have my own son
My Qualifications
I have passed the training to become a childminder and been on various courses run by the Herts Childminding Association including paediatric first aid and safeguarding I also have my NVQ3 in childcare learning and Development. I keep up to date with my training also by doing lots of online courses
My Availability
I have availability for Early years children and accept funding for this . I can only do morning drop off and do afternoon collection from Chambersbury school. I may be able to collect from Nurseries close to Bennett’s End at lunch time please feel free to ask . I am also happy to do holiday only contracts.

My youngest daughter started with Sue in September 2023, whilst also starting school nursery in the mornings. A big transition! Sue collected my daughter from school every day and minding her until the evening. I can hand on heart say, not one day did my daughter not want to, or have any hesitations about going to Sue’s house. If anything, she loved going. A home from home environment, what more could you ask for.
Sue was fantastic with my daughter’s development and early years learning. She was able to pin point learning areas and worked on those to prepare my daughter for Reception.
Outside of her minding my daughter, she gave me fantastic advice when asked.
Sue offered to help when situations occurred that meant I was unable to attend a school event and I will be eternally grateful for that, knowing my daughter didn’t miss out.
Sue has also minded my eldest daughter in the school holidays and she thoroughly enjoyed her time there.
I’m thankful to have found Sue, and that my daughter was able to spend a year+ with her. I will continue to reach out to Sue for childminding in the future.
