Hi.
My name is Jo-anne and I am an experienced childcare provider. I hold a level 3 childcare NVQ. I've worked with children for 11 years professionally and the eldest of my 5 children has just turned 18. I have been self employed as a childminder for the past 5 years.
I became a childminder as I love working with children and working from home allows me to spend more time with my own children. My home is a welcoming, busy environment with a range of toys and resources. I have a loving, supportive family who quickly make new children feel at home within the setting.
I have strong links within the local community and am involved in running 2 childminding groups. The children in my care benefit enormously from these groups as it gives them access to a fantastic range of toys and allows them to build their social skills with a wider range of children. at each group we provide a creative or sensory activity at each session and working closely with other minders provides me with support and further ideas for building the children's education and providing fun activities.
I love to be outdoors. My house has a large garden with play equipment and there are plenty of nearby parks. In the summer we love to make the most of the sunny days and take picnics along to the park.
I have my first aid training, am CRB checked. I have asthma training,epi-pen training and food hygiene training. My most recent Ofsted grade was Good.

I’ve been a childminder for 5 years and I previously worked in a nursery for 8 years.
My Qualifications
Level 3 NVQ childcare . CYPOP 5 childminding course. I hold valid first aid training and safeguarding qualifications. Asthma and epi-pen training. Food Hygiene certificate.
My Availability
My preferred hours of work are 8 till 6 but I can be flexible within reason.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
My fees are £4.50 an hour for Early Years children. Before school is £5 a day and after school is £17 a day this includes tea and breakfast.
My Local Schools
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Woodgate Primary School
- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Kitwell Primary School and Nursery Class

Jo is a great childminder. She is funny, kind and compassionate. She does lots of different things with the children, taking them to lots of different activities. Jo was so lovely to Annabelle and endlessly patient with her. As Annabelle was with Jo over the summer holidays, her children were at home and they were really lovely to my daughter as well. They were patient and kind. Jo was also flexible and really helpful to me as a mum - nothing seemed too much trouble! I'd highly recommend Jo.
