My Summary
About Me
My name is Ros and I live with my husband Richard, daughters Jasmine 27,and Lily 25 , Bruno our crossbreed Jack Russell/ Shih Tzu, Suki our Shih Tzu & Winnie our guinea pig. All members of my family (except for Bruno, Suki & Winnie) have been DBS checked.
I am friendly, down to earth and enjoy working with lots of different people. I have a good sense of humour and I always try to keep positive.
As I am from Malaysia I speak a few other languages. These include Malay, Cantonese, Teo Chew, Hokkien & very basic Mandarin.
During my spare time I enjoy sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening and I am passionate about upcycling & recycling.
My Experience
I started childminding in January of 2016 and am a fully qualified paediatric first aider.
I am a qualified primary teacher. I have taught mostly in the Foundation Stage in Croydon, Merton and Mitcham for 10 years but decided to take a detour in my career. Having taught in Early Years has provided me with the wealth of experience and knowledge to work with young children in accordance with the EYFS Framework.
I enjoy working with children and am passionate about providing them with the skills to learn and helping them gain confidence and independence. My aim is to make the children in my care feel safe, valued and loved and to provide a quality service that meets the parents’ needs. I have great relations with the parents of the children I used to teach and currently care for.
My house is clean and organised and we have a large secure garden with lots for the children to explore & keep busy. We have recently updated our outside area with a large play room with a mud kitchen behind it along with a sheltered area for the children to play under when it rains. We have a little allotment where we grow some vegetables too! We are normally out and about to several playgroups, parks, farms and other childminders' houses (or have playdates at mine) in the morning so we are always busy!
We are a stone’s throw from the 164 & 413 bus stops which services routes to Wimbledon, Morden & Sutton.

Our daughter Eloise started with Ros when she was 10 months old. It was only meant to be temporary before our nursery place but she is SO happy with Ros that she is staying :)!
Eloise has always been quite shy but her confidence has already grown so much in the 5 months she has been with her. She now happily toddles around playgroup, the park and Ikea which Ros takes the children to.
We have had a few sleep regressions but Ros always works through them with us keeps us updated and gives us tips which we really appreciate.
Ros sends lots of videos to show us what they are doing - it makes me and my husband so happy to see how much she is enjoying her days.
We can't thank Ros and her family enough for all the love that they show Eloise!
I can’t find the best word to describe Ros and her family. Jun, my 15m old son, started with Ros from when he was 12m. We’ve been searching through different CMs around the area but we both knew that Ros was the one at our first visit to her place. Many of CMs welcome you and try to give the info about how well they run the daily programme but Ros, she greeted my son first and try to engage with him. We didn't even needed trial days as my son loved being with Ros from the first day. Since then, I am noticing my son's enormous developments - both physical and intellectual. Combination of indoor and outdoor activities, exposure to new things, there is no time for being bored. Ros provide the settings where kids learn from playing - this was what I preferred especially for my son who's under 3. I was concerned about him not able to speak if he's not being treated well but I am laughing at it now. He doesn't even look back and wants to stay at Ros's when he drop him off every morning.
Ros cares not only about your child but the whole family. She's been great to us and we felt like we are now part of her family.
I really appreciate Ros, Lily and Jasmine for everything they've done for our family.

Oh Sunny! Jun remains a special part of our lives & Luke I told you, there’s no escape! You’re family now 😆 We miss you all!
My son started with Ros when he was 10 months old as I had to go back to work. He settled in straight away and after a few days I could see he was incredibly happy there and thoroughly enjoyed his days. Ros is a wonderful childminder, always keeps me updated throughout the day which is especially nice when at work. They do lots of fun activities, different play groups and my son comes home very much ready for bed!
I can't recommend Ros highly enough, I saw at least 10 different childminders and Ros was the only one I felt my son would be safe and happy with. She has a wonderful home where children can play and learn, my sons development has definitely improved since he started with Ros.
If your children are anything like mine, they won't want to come home at the end of the day because they have such a good time! You will definitely get peace of mind if you have Ros mind your children. A* from us :)

Thank you Andrea for your kind words! We love Atlas & miss him so much!
My son is at Hillcross nursery which he loves but was not happy with the wrap-around provider. I found Ros through a parent at the school who said she had been a nursery teacher there and had got on very well with her son. The current nursery teachers also spoke very highly of her as a past colleague. My son started wrap-around care with Ros two days a week and quickly felt at home and exhibited much better behaviour at home as well, saying that he preferred Ros to the previous provider. Ros is very warmhearted and fun, coming up with a lot of different activities from long park walks exploring the local wildlife to a whole range of indoor activities from writing mini books to making their own play dough. I think particularly because he is at the nursery she used to work at and she knows that setting very well she is very good at matching the nursery's activities and the stage he is at. My son is very happy there and loves Ros, he has already expressed disappointment at leaving her once he goes to full-time school so there may have to be a very drawn-out leaving process! Ros does express clear but fair boundaries for my son and he seems to respond well to these too. We are very happy with this setting and with Ros and would recommend her to any other parents seeking a childminder. Only 4 stars for food as we send lunch ourselves but Seth loves breakfast with her and enjoys snacktimes! A great setting.
