About Me
Welcome to Jellytots childcare! HI I am Sharon. I am an experienced childcare practitioner - registered since 1999. I provide a fun, warm, friendly home from home environment. I am a member of Pacey and have many childcare qualifications, including level three childcare qualifications and my training is ongoing.
I have four children, of my own, (all adults) We have a small pet dog called Cleo, she is a cocker spaniel/shih tzu cross. (She does not she’d her hair). We also have a family of tortoises. I am close to both Southend east and southend central station (walkable) and a short drive from Southend Victoria station. I am close Sacred Heart schools and porters grange schools. I provide a welcoming friendly, free flow and diverse setting. I undertake all required and relevant training in order to comply with Ofsted and undertake ongoing training regularly. I have extensive experience working with SEN children including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and Asperger. My setting is diverse and I ensure I provide a wide range of activities, trips and outings to meet all children and family needs.

I am mum to four children aged from 18 years to 27 years old. I have three young grandchildren. I have been registered with Ofsted since 1999. I have also worked in a primary school teaching a year three class & year six class. I have previously owned a preschool setting too

First aid, food hygiene, safe guarding, speech and language development and many more childcare qualifications, including SEN qualifications, Open university degree.

I found Sharon when I needed a childminder when my son was a young baby. I was in ill health (I have MS), and I desperately needed a break during the week with no friends or family nearby, and partner at work. I was very worried and anxious about leaving him with anyone. I decided to try Sharon given her level of experience and qualifications, and I will always be grateful that I did. Sharon was absolutely fantastic, efficient, reliable and actually a really nice person and very easy to deal with, it was a big relief. She clearly is a natural with young children, and she always tries to help with anything that comes up, needing an extra day at short notice etc. We only stopped using Sharon when we moved out of the area, I found the difference with another childminder (even though I'd found her on Ofsted) and really regretted not being able to have Sharon. All I can say is, don't hesitate, she's great!
