Hi mums and dads!
Thank you for looking at our profile. My name is Kerri, I'm 36 & have two children a daughter who is 14 & my son 6 years. My partner also lives with us who you may occasionally see.
We are a Reggio Emilia inspired, play based, educational approach to childcare.
My daughter loves having the children here and has made some lovely friends not to mention how much all the children love her! I returned to work when my son was 6 weeks old & I’m so happy he has settled with the children.
We have a lovely welcoming home based in Kings road with a log cabin that we work from built just for our childminding. Not only does it have two decking areas and a small barked area, but it backs a woodlands where we will be doing forest school activities. We moved a year ago so the cabin space area is still in progress!
We work with companies world wide reviewing their products, so have a wide variety of resources for our children to explore with!
We care for children from 3montths to 3 years as we do not accept funded hours.
We know that our partnership with parents is essential to create the best learning opportunities for children.
Our children are at the forefront of absolutely everything we do and we believe all children deserve the most amazing childhood experiences.
We strive to create a fun, enticing, educational and inspiring learning environment that facilitates our unique curriculum whilst the children are engaged in PLAY.
We strongly believe that children learn best and thrive when when they are happy, relaxed and taking part in what they enjoy; we feel this fosters a genuine curiosity and love of learning that can last a lifetime.
To achieve this, we provide an environment packed full of open-ended resources and balance of inspiring experiences that are responsive to the needs and abilities of every child, and that is based on both the choices of the children, their individual learning needs along with our aspirations of what they can achieve and what they may enjoy.
Our knowledge and experience focuses us on encouraging your children to have a possitive attitude to challenge, learning and respect.
We are constantly looking for improvement.
Me and Amy are increasingly aware of our belief in putting the child first.
I have an assistant I employ 5 days a week who is my sister. My sister has all relevant checks, NVQ level 2 and 3 years experience in a previous nursery, the kids love her!
A lot of our parents like that childrens naps do not get disturbed to do the school run as Amy is here.
Our outdoor play is where the children are encouraged to take risks, develop confidence and self esteem and explore their natural surroundings.
We plan our holidays a year in advance so it makes parents childcare a lot more easier to arrange.
Children adjust to our routine very quickly and it shows when we are in public too.
Holding hands and good listening is important when we are out and about and we are very proud with all the children in our care.
We have been told by many parents that they can see the difference in their childrens behaviour and development, which is always good to hear :)
I am a big kid myself and full of ideas and love making the children's time here fun, whilst learning through play.
We provide daily diaries so we can communicate at all times.
This consists of food they have eaten, toileting and what we have been up to.
We provide a two year progress check which you will also have with a health visitor as well as a summary every 6 months.
I am always available to contact at any time and know all my parents can come to me if you needed to.
We are lucky to have such great parents to work with xx
We are passionate about our job and when you meet us you will see that too. We enjoy making our own resources and most of them.
We often watch the children play and observe what they like to do with certain objects to then make it into a resource.
Child led play and learning through play is most important in our setting.
We have a waiting list for parents who are enquiring about childcare months in advance, as we have parents contact us that are expecting.

My daughter has been going to Kerry and Amy since she was 8 months old, and she has settled in perfectly. Kerri and Amy take such good care of her, and the setting is perfect with so much for the children to do. So useful having an app to see what they have eaten, slept, nappy changes etc. My daughter has the best time and I highly recommend this setting to anyone.

I don’t even know where to begin with telling you how amazing Kerri and Amy have been with my son. He has been going to them for 8 months now. Since he was 19 months old. To be honest I wish I had started him sooner had I known how good it was going to be for him. He started off with a bit of separation anxiety but Kerri was amazing with him, I love the way he goes to her, and feels comfortable and safe with both of them. He comes home absolutely full of beans talking about his day, and his friends, and all the fun things he has done that day. It’s the most lovely lovely setting, and I wish he could stay with them forever. Thank you girls so much xx

My daughter started with Kerri & Amy just before she turned 1. She's been in their care for just over 6 months and she absolutely loves her time with them! She's with Kerri and Amy full time and looks forward to seeing them every day. The setting is amazing (we particularly loved the outdoor area). I could not be happier leaving her in Kerri and Amy's care. My daughters development has excelled since joining and I am over joyed with her progress.
I would highly recommend Kerri and Amy to any parent looking into childcare options.

Our son has been going to Kerri and Amy since he was around 11 month old. Obviously it’s a bit daunting leaving your child with someone, but I couldn’t trust Kerri and Amy anymore than I do. They’re brilliant. Otis is so excited to go and see them everytime and basically runs through the gate! The setting - indoor and outdoor that they have is stunning. You can clearly see the kids love being there which is all you can ask for as a parent. Would highly recommend!

We couldn’t feel more at ease leaving our 18 month old daughter with Kerri and Amy! They provide such a wonderful, interactive setting and really take the time to nurture our little ones development. I love the fact that they spend as much time outdoors as possible getting mucky as children should do!
Our daughters development has come on leaps and bounds since joining Kerri and Amy.
The cabin is beautiful and is such a lovely place for our little girl to spend time playing and learning!
We honestly couldn’t recommend or speak more highly of Kerri and Amy, they are such genuine people who clearly love what they do.
Our daughter really enjoys her time with them and is quite happy to wave me off when dropping her in the mornings!
We feel so lucky to have found such amazing people to look after our world!

Our daughter has been with Kerri and Amy since January this year and she has loved it. They have created a lovely environment for the children to learn in. Our daughter always has fun here and it’s the perfect place for her to interact with other children as well.

Finding the right childcare setting for our lockdown baby was very important for me and I definitely made the right decision.
Kerri and Amy are so kind and caring with both the children and parents alike.
Our son loves his days with them and thrives under their care.
The resources they offer are so lovely and the sensory play is amazing, they put so much into making sure the children get the most out of their play.
The updates throughout the day are so thoughtful, I love seeing him interacting with the other children.
I Would highly recommend Kerri and Amy’s childminder service.

My son is with Amy and Kerri and it was definitely the best decision we made! We were on their waiting list and so glad we got a space with them!
We have viewed local settings, but this one is just unreal! The log cabin they have had built is stunning and full of every single learning resource you could ask for! Not only do they have the cabin, but outdoor space and a woodlands!!! We were blown away!
We prefer this small childminding setting, as they are in house, so i don’t have to worry when im at work where they are! I like that it has no tv and is solely play based! The girls make us feel at ease, message us with pictures and take care of our world!

Kerri and Amy are fantastic childminders. We were a bit nervous leaving our 4month old baby with ‘strangers’. However, it was an easy transition. Kerri was amazing and helped us feel comfortable leaving our little one in her care. Kerri stays in touch with me via text and childminder notebook notes to let us know what our daughter is doing throughout the day. The girls are so genuine and a true natural with children. Our baby girl found at Kerri and Amy’s friends and is always happy to be there. They are friendly and give such a positive vibe. They have created an amazing playground environment that every child could wish for. The toys they have and things they do makes me feel I want to be a baby again! Thank you, Kerri and Amy!
