About Us
St Michael’s Preschool operates from the Institute building opposite St Michael’s Church, Brantham, and has been running for over 30 years.
Brooklands Young Explorers is situated inside Brooklands Primary School and was set up in 2008 to provide an excellent transition into primary school and offer a quality wrap-around care provision in Brantham. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2015
East Bergholt Young Explorers operates from a purpose built facility offering care and Education. We have regular transition sessions with East Bergholt Primary School making transitions in reception exceptionally smooth. We also offers wraparound care predominately for children attending East Bergholt primary school.
Our aim is to provide high quality, flexible and affordable childcare to all. At either setting we will work in partnership with every family to provide the highest quality childcare in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
We recognise that parents need to feel confident and comfortable with the childcare they choose. To ensure this we operate an open door policy so that parents can discuss any aspect of their child’s care or development with a staff member or manager.

A lovely personal nursery that has your child’s needs at heart. With caring, friendly staff who all the children adore.
My son loved his time at both settings, which made his transition into school so much easier.
My daughter has now blossomed at St. Michael’s. When she started she could only say single words, her speech and confidence has grown immeasurably. We are looking forward to her joining Brookland’s Young Explorers, and know that with their continued care she will blossom further.

An amazing nursery which is ideal for parents who need flexible childcare at an affordable price. The staff are experienced and approachable and with very few staff changes the children feel really settled.
Brooklands Young Explorer's has proved invaluable for my eldest daughter who has grown in confidence and I know her transition into school is going to be fuss free.
Both settings are a credit to the hardwork of all the staff I really cannot rate them high enough.
