My aim is to provide attentive, sensitive care to children ensuring they are at all times they are, safe, secure, happy, stimulated and are in comfortable surroundings.
I treat each child as I would my own and at the heart of this is listening and talking to each child because they all matter to me. I offer a safe, trusting, secure, loving, fun, active home for all the children I child mind.
My Experience
I aim to provide a normal daily routine and environment incorporating all the things a child would ordinarily encounter with their parents. I follow and I am guided by the children's interest/s and the EYFS frame work.
I plan the children’s day to make the most of the opportunities available to them, both here at my home as well as out and about in the community. I believe that children with me have the best start in life.
To give you an idea of what we do: We play in the garden, go on country walks, go to groups, to the farm/ zoo, the library, do craft and messy play, sing songs, reading, dress up, play with construction toys, imaginative play, sand, play dough, puzzles, card and board games, play in cardboard boxes, make cakes, use the computer and any combination of the above and much more, I follow and am guided by the children's interests.
My Qualifications
I'm Ofsted registered, fully qualified and follow the EYFS framework. I'm fully insured, hold a current paediatric first-aid certificate, and have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure. I have attended Specialist Safeguarding and have a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (Childcare). I have a BA (Honours) Education Studies (Primary) Degree - 2.1 , which I achieved in my spare time at Open University. I am a fully qualified Cub and explorer leader a my local scout group.
