About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I offer term time only childcare. I was graded Good at my Ofsted inspection in February 2023.
I live in Caversham Park Village with my husband and 20 year old daughter and I also have 2 other adult daughters who no longer live at home.
I provide a happy, homely and stimulating environment for the children I look after.
We enjoy going to local toddler groups,soft play sessions, and rhyme time at the library, as well as going out for walks and visiting local parks. I have a playroom full of toys and books for all ages and stages of development and we also enjoy regular art and craft activities, singing/nursery rhymes, dressing up and playing in the garden.
My Experience
I have had experience with various learning disabilities through my time as a care worker. I have been a childminder since 2008 and along with raising my own 3 children I have had plenty of experience of looking after children from newborn upwards. I have experience of reflux/ sicky babies, speech and language issues and dyslexia.

My working hours are 8-5.30 Monday to Thursday.
I work term-time only following the same holidays as Reading Borough Council.
I am currently full and my next available spaces will be for September 2025.

My daughter started in Helen’s care when she was only 7 months old and she settled very quickly and bonded very well with Helen, Helen’s family (husband and three fantastic daughters) and the other children. Helen was loving, caring and always treated her like part of the family and I felt comfortable knowing she was always well looked after and cared-for (plenty of cuddles!).
Helen has a lovely, family orientated set-up with a great play-room - I don’t think there is any toy or activity that Helen doesn’t have! She provides a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and attends children’s’ groups and play sessions.
My daughter loved her time there and I would have no hesitation in recommending Helen as a fantastic childminder – we were lucky to have her.

My son thoroughly enjoyed his time with Helen. I truly wish she had space for both of my boy, as we don't want to leave!!
Helen was fun and caring, but still managed to keep my son under control when he was being unruly!
Her setting is clean and bright, with a fantastic playroom. Oscar really enjoyed all the activities he did with Helen, both at her house and out and about.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Helen as a great childminder ????
