About Me
Hello my name is Jen, I'm a level 3 qualified teaching assistant and currently work part time in a primary school. I have much experience across the key stages of primary and have been in my role as a TA in reception, year 1, year 2 and year 4 but have a wide range of experience working with children aged 0-11 and young people from 12 -18 years. I have always worked with children and in the education sector and really thrive from it.
I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have a kind, friendly and lively disposition. I work hard but am also a relaxed and calm person. I engage well with children and understand children's needs and interests.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience of working with children aged 2-11 years old and young people aged 12-18 years. I have also had some experience with babies up to 18 months old. This has been at a range of settings such as nurseries, primary schools, social care and in families homes. The roles I've had have been varied such as a senior midday supervisor, teaching assistant, nursery nurse, private tutor, nanny, mother's help and an after school care nanny (all of which I can provide contactable references for).
My Qualifications
I have a First Class BA Hons Degree in Children, Schools and Families, a Foundation degree graded distinction in Children, Young People and their Services, level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, level 2 CACHE Certificate in Child Care and Education, first aid certificate, child protection certificate and safety at work certification.

As I am employed part-time at a primary school I frequently undergo training which is directly relevant to working with children and enables my qualifications to remain up to date.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £7.50 per hour
- Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
£10 per hour, this includes everything that you would possibly require of me for nannying and/or after school care (homework help, use of my car for transportation, making tea, conducting stimulating indoor/outdoor activities etc...)
£7.50 per hour for evening babysitting
£20 an hour for private tuition (I have experience of private tutoring a family for 5 years while the 2 children were in years 2, 3, 4, 5 and finally year 6. This focused on English and Maths KS2. I can gladly provide a reference.
I currently tutor for 2 different families with children ranging from 4 years old to 14 years old. I cover both the primary and secondary education system using the national curriculum. I deliver personlised lessons and learning for English and Maths.

Jen looked after my baby daughter for one or two afternoon a week starting when she was 5 months old. She was wonderful with my daughter who wasn't always easy to settle and while I was quite apprehensive at the thought of letting someone else look after her, Jen's kindness and professionalism put my at ease from the start. I highly recommend Jen; we couln't have found a more dedicated, kind and organised person to look after our baby!
