About Me
I'm a registered childminder in Stonehaven with spaces available and I also offer funded childcare through Aberdeenshire Council. Care Inspectorate grades of 5s and report available on the Care Inspectorate website or on request from myself. I have three children of my own so I understand the importance of finding the right childcare for your little ones. I am a registered setting offering flexible and reliable childcare in a home away from home environment. Outside activities daily and trips to woodlands, parks and local farms are planned regularly. We have a dog Tilly, who is a Labrador cross whippet rescue who came to us in 2012, a Cane Corso Luna who joined us as a puppy in 2022 and we also have a Cat Smudge who came to us from the Cats protection in 2013.

My daughter has been going to renee for a few months now and is absolutely loving her time spent with renee. My daughter loves being outside adventuring and she gets plenty of adventures and outdoor fun while in renee's care. I get daily photos of her having so much fun and that's a great comfort to me. Fantastic childminder all round.

As a first time parent, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my son with a childminder for the first time but with Renee, I need not have worried! Renee offers a warm and loving environment for my child who has been going full time to her from the age of six months and she treats him as if he were one of her own. As a young and inexperienced parent, I feel that I can turn to Renee for advice when required also. I am kept up to date on my sons daily activities and I am confident in the knowledge that Renee works hard on improving my child’s mental development through a wide range of stimulating activities. Renee offers a wide range of nutritious meals, my son is always trying something new.
I can confidently say that if I were ever to have another child, I would definitely use Renee’s services again.

As her parent herself Renee can relate to the struggles of a working family and does her upmost to provide a 2nd home environment. She is very professional and has ensured we are always kept up to date with policies, guidance and any changes (which there have been so many of during COVID). She will bend over backwards to accommodate any additional times or adjustments where she can and always work closely with us to maintain routines etc. She has great indoor and outdoor space with a huge variety of age appropriate games, crafts, toys and activities to always keep the children entertained. I love the amount of outdoor time the children’s get including walks to see the ducks, to the park or up the woods - I especially love seeing the photos of all the fun they have! I feel it important my children get a variety of fresh, healthy snacks and meals and was delighted to find Renee who has the same ethos, encouraging the children to try new things too :)
I’ve been using Renee for around 3 years now, firstly for Afterschool care with my eldest son then for full-time and wrap around care with my youngest son. Every week is full of craft activities, outdoor walks and lots of fun & games. Having come from using private nurseries I was worried that childminding wouldn’t offer enough stimulation - I couldn’t have been more wrong. My son loves talking about all the fun he’s had and showing off his craft work. I couldn’t think of a better, safer and more fun place to put my child.
If you’re looking for a local childminder - I highly recommend choosing Renee :)
