About Me
My name is Francesca Clemo and I am a self employed nanny. I have over 35 years experience in child care. I currently nanny for a young girl from whitchurch on a Tuesday and Wednesday after school, 2 boys in radyr on a monday and friday all day and two boys in heath on a Tuesday, wednesday, thursday morning. so I'm with 3 families at the moment. However this will change from April 2025 when one of my families will emigrate.
I will have around 16 hours available mid week or weekend
Nannies do not have to legally register with a governing body in wales as they don't childmind from their own home but I do have Public liabilities insurance and up to date DBS check. All original documentation will be provided at interview. I am also fully covid vaccinated.
The main benefits for having a nanny are the flexibility with hours and security for the child being looked after at home even when the children are sick. I also am a naturally organised and tidy person so your house will never look so good.
Im really friendly and relaxed and happy to give advice or further information. It can be daunting thinking about childcare and in 30 odd years of childcare experience i've pretty much dealt with every childcare issue.
My Experience
I have worked with children of all ages from newborn to teens and in many different capacities since leaving school over 35 years ago. I’ve been a nursery nurse, nanny, youth worker, foster carer, mother, registered child minder, teaching assistant, carer for the elderly and a dog boarder to name a few but i always come back to childcare as its what i love doing most.

My Qualifications
Over the years I have completed a catalogue of training relating to childcare, in particular child protection, managing children’s behaviour, First Aid and Cache level 2 In home based child care to name a few.
I.D. certificates and other original documentation supplied at interview and references on request.
In addition I have a fully insured and regularly serviced car, no points on licence and Morton Mitchel childcare specialist Liabilty insurance.
My Availability
Mid week school hours availability and mid week holiday availability up to around 16 hours per week.
My mid week after school job will be ending in July too.

- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
I work on a self employed basis so you won't have to deal with tax and national insurance.

5 stars isn’t enough for Fran! She is simply amazing! My two boys have taken to her like she is family and it makes me feel calm and reassured that they’re safe with her and that she will always put their best interests first.
She has moulded into our routine but yet uses her initiative to do jobs around the house, food for the kids and has found a new toddler play group to take my youngest to! She constantly plays with both boys, is kind, caring, fun and energetic! She has shown a genuine interest in my older boys passion… digging!! And they can be out in the garden for hours!
She cuddles my youngest to sleep for his nap and has never let him cry or get too distressed. I can honestly say I would recommend her to EVERYONE! She’s genuine, honest and reliable and the boys jump up and down with excitement on days when she’s due. Everyone needs a Fran in their life… we’re very lucky to have her!
