My Summary

My Experience

As mentioned before, my childcare experience started at a young age. I worked for a national children and family support charity for 9 years and gained skills and experience in unusual situations, including physical and mental disability, special needs, safeguarding issues and fostering/adoption. I am experienced working with children with additional needs including, autism, global development delay, non-verbal, hearing loss and adhd. I am trained in child and adolescent studies, including mental health and feel equipped to deal with challenging behaviour. I have since completed my Masters in Criminology, which might not necessarily be relevant to childcare, however I have worked with parents who have come out of prison or have had a difficult background.

Being a mum of 3 girls I have obviously got experience from newborn to 18, but have worked with multiples of the same age.

I have previously been a college tutor and university lecturer and although my teaching qualification is in post 16, I am available to help observe or guide through homeschooling for any age.

My Availability

I am available 7 days a week, early starts, late nights or overnights not a problem. I can only offer adhoc, emergency or temporary cover.

I no longer provide before or after school care but can help with full time school holiday care.

As I am not a registered childminder I can only care for your child/children in your own home.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (net)

Fees are negotiable depending on distance, age of child, number of children and how many hours are required, but range from £13 - 18 per hour. If you require me overnight I charge a flat fee of £100 which is for 12 hours care for children over 2 years old. Waking nights (children under 2) will be charged as a night nanny rate of £160. Any additional hours over the night rate will be at £13 ph.

I am registered self employed as I work for more than one employer, and therefore fees must be paid by cash or by bank transfer on completion of the booking for adhoc 1 day bookings. All other childcare provision should be paid at the end of each week.
