About Me
I have been a Ofsted registered childminder since 1986. I go daily to St Francis School and Swallowdale. I work from my family home which is shared with my husband and adult daughter. I care for 0 - 15 and am able to access the funding for two three and four year olds. I interact with all parents daily, promote positive relationships and an environment where communication is easy. Many children attend due to recommendation and many parents place siblings in my care which reflects well on my practices. I have many references to back this up. The house is situated in a cul-de-sac on the southern side of Melton Mowbray, superbly located within a five minute walk of parks and the town centre. A bus route is conveniently located at the end of my street with half hourly services linking me to all Melton has to offer.
Within the childminding setting children have access to a lounge with comfy seating. The lounge has doors which allow access to the garden which is a valuable extension of space. The children also use the kitchen which includes child friendly tables and seating and again has access to the garden.

I have the experience and knowledge to provide children with outstanding care. I have worked with many children with additional needs and their professionals.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are Children's Care, Learning and Development NVQ Level 3. Level 3 in Childminding Practice, Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection Safeguarding Children, Food and Hygiene, Equal Opportunities, Menphys Choices Opportunity and Inclusion, Nutrition training, Health and Safety.
I attend various courses throughout the year to ensure best practice certificate's are in a folder to share with parents.`
My Availability
I have vacancies in all age groups at the moment. I work from 6.30am to 5.45 but if needed I can be flexible to fit around a parents needs.

My daughter has been going to Carol's after school for the past 5 years. She loves going there and has come on leaps and bounds whilst in Carol's care.
Carol is kind, generous and caring, and I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone!

Our son started with Carol a few months ago when he was 17 months old, he struggled at first with the goodbyes at the door but very quickly settled, he now loves his time at Carol's and can't wait to toddle up the drive. Perfect kid safe setting with plenty of activities. We couldn't be happier, thankyou Carol

My baby has gone to Carol since she was 5 months old, Carol has been fantastic with her and really helped her to settle in, she loves being there and seeing and playing with the other children. The learning is led by my little girl and she gets to play with lots of different toys. Carol is very kind and caring and provides a safe and secure environment.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Your baby is a pleasure to care for. Her smile always brightens up my day.
My daughter has been with Carol now for nearly a month. I couldn't ask any more from her, the standard of care provided is exceptional she goes above and beyond her role as a childminder.
Carol has a warm, friendly and very welcoming approach my daughter has took to her vey well and looks forward to "going to play at Carol's" each day.
Activities provided are brilliant following the EYFS and are always planned around the child's age group and adapted as necessary to be inclusive of all age groups and abilities.
A journal is provided and written in daily providing all information on child's day from how muh dinner has been eaten etc to a small written paragraph of observation on activites in which my child has joined in so you get a real feel of how your child's day has been.
I genuinely am so pleased and grateful I have found Carol to be my childminder 5* +++ service in every aspect.
