About Me
I live in a warm, loving, friendly home with my husband & 4 children. They are all grown up now so I now have the opportunity to give my undivided attention to your little ones & care for them as one of my own in a home from home environment. I do not have any pets & my home is smoke free.
I want your children to be happy & safe yet develop their learning in line with the Early Years Foundation which is a requirement from Ofsted. I offer a stimulating environment where your child can thrive. The children learn to play & share together and learn to be disciplined and well mannered.
I am fun loving & full of energy. I take the children to play groups, soft play, libraries, parks, museums and farm outings. School drop off/pick ups from Unicorn Primary school and Happy Days Kindergarten.
The children I care for always say how much they enjoy coming to my home.
My Experience
I have 13 years of Early Years experience plus I am a Mother of four which is experience in itself.
I have cared for young babies/children for several years aged from 4mths to 12 years.
I drop off and collect children from school/preschool.
I help the children with activities such as arts & crafts, physical movement, outdoor/woods & assist them in learning through play, music & songs.
I help the children with reading, homework, cooking and planned trips.
I have excellent recommendations!!
My Qualifications
I have a certiifcate issued by the London Borough of Bromley for Childminding.
Child Development Course (certificate)
I have a pediatric First Aid certificate.
Safeguarding certificate.
I am registered with Ofsted as a Childminder.
I hold a full enhanced CRB check certificate.
I attend courses provided by Bromley for updated information as and when they come up.
I attend webinars for ongoing childcare guidance, information & courses
I have been graded 'Good' by Ofsted September 2018
My Availability
I am currently available with flexibility Monday to Thursday from 8.00am - 5.30pm.
Full & part time available. Term time basis offered.

Karen has been looking after our son for almost a year now. He had just turned one when we sent him to her and I was incredibly nervous about the transition. As a covid baby he had never been left with anyone other than my husband, but Karen’s wonderful home setting, kind maternal manner and approach to childcare left us reassured, she made the transition really easy for me, sending lots of updates and our son has always been happy to be left with Karen, running in every morning without looking back.
Karen puts on an array of different activities every day to keep our son engaged and to support his development, from playgroups, rhyme time, forest school and trips to the park. Our son has so many opportunities to mix and socialise with other children of different ages at the group sessions he attends with Karen but also the balance of a calming home environment and lots of attention from Karen and her wonderful family to flourish and learn. Karen provides many different activities to engage and challenge our son each day, he is often coming home with lovely artwork and even new vocabulary around the different topics they have explored together.
Karen has been so flexible around our changing shifts at work and provides a happy constant for our son, she updates us through the day on his activities and progress.
I could go on and on about the wonderful things Karen has and continues to do for our boy, but the long and short of it is, we could not be more grateful to have found Karen and we truly feel that we could not have found anyone better to look after our son! Thank you Karen :-)

I have a daughter age 4 and son who is 2. Karen has looked after them both since they were babies . I can’t recommend karen highly enough . Very kind , warm and thoughtful. Our children always looked forward to going and I felt very confident in karen’s approach to childcare . She kept them interested and happy . We only stopped recently due to my work forcing a change .

My son Rudy has been with Karen since he was 6 months old and he's just turned 2. Karen and her family are so loving and attentive to Rudy and he absolutely adores her. I always have peace of mind sending him to Karens knowing he will get the perfect mix of attention, variation to his day, Early Years Development structure, arts and crafts, playground and other fun trips, sing song time and much more. I love getting pictures to my phone showing me what they've been up to and Rudy loves running to me when I collect him to proudly show me what he has drawn or made with Karen that day. Covid and multiple lockdowns/shielding were tricky to navigate for everyone, and Karen has worked hard to help bring Rudy back out of his shell after the first lockdown where he shielded with me for 5 months. He is back to his bubbly, cheeky self. I cannot recommend Karen highly enough.
