My children have been going to Sue since they were about 6 months old. Sue was great at putting me at ease, partially during the transition from being on maternity leave to returning to work, and provided us frequent updates and photos of all the fun things they had been doing. The children do a variety of activities and my children often come home with lots of arts and craft that they have made that they are really proud of. Both my children have thrived going to Sue and she has supported them reaching key milestones - from being able to sit up, starting solid foods to counting. Our third child (on the way) will be going to Sue and we are fully confident that they will love Sue as much as are other two do!

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to have Sue look after both of our daughters in their early years. Sue is truly outstanding at her job, both of our children adore the time they spend with her because she ensures children get a varied day to day experience with lots of fun days out and activities at home. Our eldest daughter (with additional needs) thrived under Sue’s care, with her social skills and speech/language improving so much - Sue even went to the effort of providing resources to support her development at home. We are always kept well-informed with how their day has gone, food they’ve eaten and we receive regular updates of the fun they have. We’ve been so lucky!

After a really difficult time with my eldest not settling in a nursery setting I knew I wanted something different for my second. My little whirlwind. He is so passionate and strong willed. And Sue knows exactly how to support him, to get him on board, and to give him the best 3 days a week! My little has been coming since he turned 1 and he will be coming until he starts school. Sue provides such a home from home that we've opted to put him in only part time at school pre school and to stay with her also part time that year. My little has made great friends being in Sue's home and has come on in all areas including independence with personal care and social skills in addition to academics such as counting, colours, days of the week etc. Sue shares beautiful pictures of his smiling face at play groups, the zoo, the fire station, the park! He always has a great time. Of note, my little has food allergies and Sue has worked with me to manage these and keep him safe, checking new packets etc and being inclusive on special occasions which are always celebrated safely. Thanks Sue, you make our life so much easier, we appreciate all of your hard work!

I was heavily pregnant with my second child when I approached Sue to begin minding my eldest who was just over a one at the time. He'd been in a nursery setting previously and I wasn't happy with the level of care he was being given.
From the moment Sue opened up her home to us for the first visit I felt as if I'd hit the jackpot! My little boy instantly settled and made a special friend in Sue's youngest son.
My youngest joined Sue at 4 months old and she has been there for every milestone, contributing massively to both boys development. Learning has always been of importance to me, and Sue's patience and commitment to development following the EYFS guidelines has been incredible with both thriving and ready for school full-time.
There is plenty of fun too - with regular trips to soft play, the zoo, local farms & woodlands. Sue plans her days with care and thought, teaching about the seasons, healthy eating, manners, the importance of hygiene and so many other vital life lessons.
In her own time, Sue is still dedicated to her setting. Printing off photo's and writing journals for each child to take home with them when their time with her comes to an end.
Sue genuinely cares and loves each child in her setting and that is evident at drop off when each child is welcomed with a hug and they skip in happily.
Whilst both boys time has sadly come to an end this year, we will still use Sue where she has space in the school holidays.

Sue really is outstanding. She covered school pick-up for my eldest daughter for a number or years. Sue was truly amazing when my daughter started, and made her feel at home. We initially wanted my daughter to attend after-school care within the school, but this was fully booked. We never set out to find a childminder, but I'm so glad that we found Sue, I can't recommend her enough.
My daughter found it difficult to settle initially as she had also started school. Sue made her feel special and spoke to her about her feelings and introduced a number of her favourite activities including craft to help her settle in. She also kept me updated during this period - to help alleviate any concerns. Everytime I received a photograph I could tell she was having so much fun. She also received a healthy home cooked meal each day she attended Sue's setting.
Sue constantly introduces new activities and my daughter is especially fond of the christmas advent calendar activity that she takes an awful lot of time to put together for the children in her setting. My daughter and I will really miss Sue. She's even asked if she can go and visit her from time to time.

My son attended Sue's house from the age of 8 months to 3 years and left to start school. Sue and her family not only opened up their home but also their hearts. My son treated Sue and the family home, as his 'home from home'. Sue planned weekly fun, stimulating activities, outings and adventures within the EYFS framework and beyond. We got regular feedback and photographs.
I never set out to find a childminder, but on reflection in seeing what you could provide compared to how busy nurseries and schools are, we knew you could stand above the rest.
I'd say I had high expectations of what I wanted for my son, and Sue you achieved this and more. To say we miss you is a understatement. I highly recommend Sue in looking after your child, and if ever needed in future you will be my first point of call.
