About Me
Hi, my name is Dasha and I live in a house with a large garden near Hitchin station with my husband and 23 year old daughter.
I'm OFSTED registered, fully qualified, insured and experienced.
I have been childminding from 2005 and I love my job!
My mission is to provide children with attentive individual care and quality education in an atmosphere of love, which promotes learning and successful development.
I attend toddler groups, childminding groups etc. regularly and I take children on trips to parks and interesting places. We walk everywhere and sometimes we go on a train or a bus.
I ask parents to bring the child’s own healthy packed lunch and I make sure that children have time to sleep, rest or just chill out according to their personal needs.
My setting has been graded Good by OFSTED.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 19 years and I have 29 years experience of working with children, I used to be an after school play leader and an au pair prior to childminding.
References from parents of children I used to look after are available on request.
My Qualifications
I hold NVQ in Childrens Care, Learnig and Development level 3, First Aid for children and babies, Child Protection Certificate, Hygiene Certificate.

Dasha currently cares for my son who is almost 3yrs old, he has been with her 4 days a week since he was 11 months old. He is my youngest child & I have had extensive experience with a wide range of childcare settings over the years. I can honestly say that I still can't believe my luck in coming across Dasha via recommendation when I was planning my return to work.
My son evidently feels completely safe & happy with Dasha & has absolutely thrived there. Dasha provides a lovely home setting for him, striking the balance between an excellent variety of structured play activities & chill out/rest time appropriate to his age & own development. She has always tailored the environment to meet his needs on a day to day basis, he has some mild hearing difficulties & the time she has put in with him to help support his communication has been exceptional. Dasha so obviously loves kids & her knowledge & wealth of experience clearly shows in her interaction with them.
My son loves Dasha's home cooked food, which is well balanced & always smells delicious!. He enjoys the interaction with the other children there, alongside the groups & outdoor activities he attends with Dasha on a weekly basis.
Communication with Dasha has always been spot on & I love the learning journey she has created for me to keep while my son has been with her. Dasha always gives me ample notice of her holiday dates & has not had a single sick day in the time my son has been there.
In a nutshell, I couldn't be happier -Thank you Dasha!

Using Dasha has given us complete peace of mind with regards to the care of our children. Initially she looked after by boy who is quite a strong character and he was always happy and content with her (when he first started at a nursery he would cry. We moved him to Dasha and he never cried.) now she cares for her little girl who happily talks about Dasha and her daughter at home. In addition to her excellent care the homemade food is also well received. I highly recommend her.

Dasha was our childminder for 18months and we were happy from day one to leave our 2 year old daughter with her. Dasha provides an extremely flexible service and has been a god send for us given the unpredictable nature of my husband and I's work. She has a calm disposition and puts a lot of effort into planning activities and ensuring all children are involved. In the summer one of her childminder groups had a bouncy castle party and Dasha invited our daughter to join them (even though it wasn't a usual day for our daughter to go to Dasha's). It was extremely thoughtful as she didn't want our daughter to feel left out as her friends were going. I was very sad to move on from Dasha's and would recommend her to any parent who are looking for a safe and happy environment for there children to play in.

I placed my 2.5yr old with Dasha when moving to Hitchin in June. I work full time and was quite nervous about how my son would find the transition of the move but with Dasha's help it has been relatively seamless.
Her calm caring manner has helped us both settle in to our new environment. She is very knowledgeable and helpful with any childcare / behavioural questions I have and my son looks forward to his days with her.
Dasha ensures that no day is wasted visiting numerous play groups and coming up with novel and imaginative day trips.
I can't recommend her enough!

We have used Dasha for about 18 months to look after our daughter (now 2.5) and are really pleased with her. Our daughter clearly enjoys her days with her and is always happy to go - hardly giving me a wave goodbye! Dasha's house is pretty small, and that was a concern at first, but she's very organised and always seems to have lots of activities for the kids to do, plus she takes them out and about and to lots of groups etc. In fact, on one of the days she doesn't look after my daughter we go to the same toddler group and it's really great to see how well she interacts with her charges and how they respond to her. She's softly spoken and caring, but also seems to be firm and fun - a great combination. She was recommended to me by someone who used her and I know two other mums who use her and are also very pleased.
