My Summary
About Me
I am a happy, bubbly person, patient and easy-going, reliable, honest, organised, involved, open to new and self-sufficient.
I absolutely adore working with babies and they seem to like me too, probably because I am a warm person. My work does not feel as work but rather as a personal life style.
I am a hard working person as I really like to make a difference in peoples' lives and I love being around to help and excel in whatever I do.
Somehow it has worked for me to be always surrounded by children of different ages as I started out as a teacher with teenagers and continued as a nanny with under 3s and then moved on to becoming a Maternity Nurse and during this process I rediscovered myself and learnt about myself.
I am passionate about my work and I am always finding ways of improving myself and my services.
From my teaching days I have learnt how to share my ideas and plans and I am a big believer that parents need to make informed decisions; from my nanny days I have learnt how important it is a routine (a more flexible one or a slightly stricter one - but a routine) and how babies love knowing what to expect from their carers and what is expected from them and from my maternity days I have learnt that babies are amazing little humans with unlimited potential that just need lots of love and proper care to thrive and develop nicely.
Since I started working as a Maternity Nurse I started learning more about breastfeeding and how important it is for mother and baby. But when my mummies have decided not to breastfeed I never pushed them towards breastfeeding as I have found their family's pressure was huge and they just needed a companion to help them through a difficult period of their life.
I am happy to say I am friends with most of my families and I am trying to see them as often as I can and be part of their lives if they wish me to be there along the way.
I have experience and I am confident with issues such as:
Paediatric First Aid Training
Twins
Premature, low birth weight babies
Twin-to-twin blood transfusion
Tongue Tie
Breastfeeding support
Postnatal Depression
Colics
Reflux
Allergies
Eczema

Daniela helped me immensly with breastfeeding advice. I had my baby girl 6 months ago and becoming a mum for the first time meant I had no experience with breastfeeding and I was at a point of giving up breastfeeding all together. But under Daniela's guidance I managed to navigate the challenge succesfully. She listened to me and guided me through and in just a week after her professional advise I was exclusively breastfeeding.
When my baby was born, she was underweight and was diagnosed with tongue-tie. Two factors that made breast feeding for me and my baby harder than expected. Daniela helped me through this journey by recommending us a good specialist for the tongue-tie operation and offered a lot of advice and support face to face after the operation to reestablish breast feeding. It was exactly what we needed at that time. She showed a lot of care and patience, and we could not have asked for a more suitable persone to help us pass those tough times. She made her self available on the phone and visited us as often as needed. Looking back at those time, we survised because if her. Thank you so much for all your pretious advise and help.
