About Me
I am an OFSTED Registered Childminder and live in a quiet, residential road in Bisley. I have been childminding for over 20 years starting when my three children were young and have cared for children of all ages.
I offer the following facilities:-
A safe,caring and welcoming non-smoking / non vaping home environment for each child.
A playroom for numerous play and learning activities.
A secure garden for outdoor play including a sensory play area.
A sleep area for daytime naps.
Arts and Crafts and lots of 'messy play' activities.
Daily storytime, songs and rhymes. Themed days and weeks ie. Pirates & Mermaids, Bugs & Creepy Crawlies!
Local outings including parks, playgrounds, nature walks, shops & library.
National Trust and Wisley Gardens Membership.
Visits and days out to places of interest.
Cooking activities, growing plants and fruits and vegetables music & movement activities and lots more!
My Experience
I have been an OFSTED Registered Childminder for over 20 years caring for children from the ages of 3 months to 11 years.
I am OFSTED inspected, which ensures that my childminding setting is professionally monitored and meets the required standards.
My last OFSTED inspection was in November 2019 and I was graded GOOD in all areas of provision.
My Qualifications
I hold a Diploma in Homebased Childcare which is a Level 3 qualification.
I successfully completed the Surrey County Council Quality Improvement Award.
I am Paediatric First Aid Trained and hold a Level 2 Award in Food Safety.
I have completed numerous courses and workshops including:-

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
My hourly rate is £6.00.
I accept funded hours for all ages and do not charge any additional fees for the funded hours. Any additional hours required over your eligible funded hours are charged at my normal hourly rate.
As well as all year round childcare I also offer parents the choice of term time only contracts should you not need childcare during the school holidays and only charge for the term time hours.
I do not charge parents when I am on holiday.

Dawn has been looking after our son for the last two and a half years, and is only leaving her setting to start pre-school in September.
From his first day with Dawn we knew we’d made such a good decision, he went in happily that morning and has gone in happily pretty much every day since. Dawn gives us a daily update, along with a photo or two, on how he has slept, eaten and what he has been up to, with a fair amount of poo talk too! Our son has had a few medical problems which Dawn has taken the time to understand and work with us on, so we know he has consistency and is always well looked after.
You can tell that the children all get on and that they enjoy spending their time together and with Dawn- so much so she has older children, who came to her as babies/toddlers, come back in the school holidays. A lot of time is spent in the garden, or out in the local area having a walk, unless the weather is bad- which our son loves. Her meals are well thought out and she works really closely with us to ensure he’s getting a good diet- which is hard when he’s a picky eater!
If you are looking for a reliable, experienced, friendly and caring childminder, we honestly couldn’t recommend Dawn more. We are so grateful to have had Dawn in our lives and looking after our son for the past 2 and a half years and we are genuinely sad that his time with Dawn is coming to an end.
