My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Kimberley, I am 27 years old and from York.
As presently working as a qualified level 3 Nanny, I have all the necessary skills and competences required. I am passionate about my role and find my profession extremely rewarding. Essentially I recognise that one of my strengths is in developing an excellent close relationship with a family as I have the understanding of why it is important to respect and value one another to ensure the children get the best care and nurturing they deserve.
I have excellent communication skills, I am enthusiastic, maintain high standards, flexible, conscientious and caring. Having a professional manner along with excellent communication skills enables me to work on my own initiative. I have meticulous time keeping and appreciate that confidentiality and safeguarding is paramount to my position. I have a wealth of experience gained from the past nine years looking after babies and young children.
My most recent full time permanent position is a Private Nanny, caring for pre term twins now aged 4 years. Within this role I have had to overcome the challenges of hearing and speech impairment as one of the children has cochlear implants. Due to the twins starting school in September my position will end and therefore I will be in the process of looking for a new family to commence in October 2019.
Previous to this position I cared for two children aged 4 and 2 years, employed by two Doctors.
In the past I have also worked as a Nursery Nurse at Daisy Chain Day Nursery where I was based in the baby room.
I hold a full, clean drivers licence of nine years and have my own car available to use on business use.

I look forward to hearing from you and your family soon.
My Experience
My role as a Nanny involves caring for the children, babysitting with advanced agreement, ensuring the children’s daily hygiene was maintained and carrying out general nanny duties. Getting involved with the children’s individual development with respect of their social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs is essential in providing stimulating and educational play. I attend speech therapy sessions. I organise numerous planned activities which include; trips out, historical visits, arranging of birthday parties and events, taking the children to classes such as ballet, swimming, little gym and mums and toddler groups, playgroup/nursery and eventually school. Daily dog walks with the family pet. A weekly visit with the children to the local library to choose new books is a high priority.
I also strive to cook healthy, nutritious meals, with the aim of encouraging the children to partake and allowing them to engage in supervised preparation of food. This allows them to express themselves and learn the importance of a healthy balanced diet. The children’s parents support me in making day to day decisions based on trust. By working closely with the parent’s wishes, including fitting in well with the family routine and being flexible within my role. Taking full responsibility for their children every day I am able to discuss their daily progress and developments. Through my noted records, reports and hand over, the parents are kept up to date and fully informed which are greatly appreciated.
This in turn is very rewarding for all as on such times where the parents are unable to attend special school plays and events, I take many photographs and video recordings with their permission for them to see and keep these precious memories and special moments. My challenge is to encourage emotional and social integration into the village life which in turn would give the children contentment and reassurance in unfamiliar settings.
