My Summary
About Me
I am currently a Manager of a Nursery in Wanstead and have been working there for 7 years. I am available for babysitting/ nannying from 6 or 8pm onwards as I finish work at 4pm and 6.30 .
My name is Kiran. I am 35 years old and live in Redbridge with my husband and 3 year old toddler. I am reliable, trustworthy and always have a positive attitude. I believe I have made a close bond with all the children I have looked after and their parents. And I think my creativity and planning skills have benefited all of the children. I work well on my own and with parents to make the best choices for their child. I feel I am very committed and able to tackle any problem. I approach every task with enthusiasm. I have the dedication and determination to be the perfect nanny. I am not Ofsted registered, but would look into doing so. I am also willing to travel as I have worked in many different areas.
My Experience
I am currently a Manager of a nursery in Wanstead. I have been here since December 2017. Before this I was a Deputy Manager of a private day care nursery in ilford. I have also worked for a private day care nursery as a Nursery Nurse in Redbridge from March 2016 till September 2016. Prior to my last nursery job I finished my job as a Level 3 Nursery nurse in a private day nursery from March till Jan 2016 my contract was not extended this was only due to an operation I had to undergo and being signed off by the doctors, so I was not able to fulfil all duties). I also finished in February as a part time nanny. The child in my care was 8months. I looked after her three days a week whilst her mum studied and dad went to work. Whilst in my care I prepared healthy lunch, snacks and dinner for her. I took her to local baby groups so that she could socialise with other children. And also out for walks. I also started potty training with her as myself and mum believed she was ready. I also introduced her to new foods and taught her how to use her spoon and hold her cup by herself. I also sang songs, read stories, played and I taught her sounds and words. Also I did general housekeeping, cleaning and tidying babies toys and clothes and also bathed her and put her to bed. I worked with her for about 4months and the baby was very attached and comfortable with me which mum and dad were extremely happy about.
I was a full time nanny in December 2013 for two boys aged 3 and 4. I was their nanny for 2years. Whilst in my care I planned a range of activities and trips out for the children to help in their development. Some activities were based in local play groups or children's clubs so both the boys got to socialise with other children. Whilst in my care I prepared healthy lunches, snacks and dinner. I kept a log of these in my diary so the parents knew what the children had eaten everyday. I made sure the children were taken out for a walk or for a bike ride everyday (weather permitted). As fresh air is always important and the park/playground was just around the corner. On rainy days I planned activities for the children inside the house which they always liked. During the evening I would get both the children bathed and ready for bed for when their parents would come Home. Previous to this I worked in a nursery three and a half years with both a full time and part time role:
Montessori on the Park (Nursery) - Nursery Assistant
My role in the nursery was based in all of the four rooms from baby room to the preschool classroom. I worked there for three and a half years. My duties include:
-Providing a carefully panned, stimulating environment which will help the children develop themselves including the foundation habits, attitudes, skills and ideas which are essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning
-Operate a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children attending the nursery
-Help children develop to their unique potential
-Assist in the total development of the child socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and culturally
-Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
-Liaise with and support parents and other family members
-Work within the policies held at the nursery
-Share tasks necessary as part of the general upkeep, tidiness and cleanliness of the nursery and contribute to the general well-being of the team
-Be responsible for care and maintenance of classroom material
-Prepare snack and serve lunch and subsequent clearing of dishes
-Carry out necessary physical tasks for care of children i.e. nappies and changing of wet clothes
-Be hygienic at all times and to encourage children to be hygienic through their daily routines
Babysitting: At present I am also a regular babysitter for some of parents whose children attended the nursery or have left. This may vary from a weekday or weekend and from a full day to just evenings. During this time I provide all children with excellent care. All parents will provide me with an excellent reference.
