About Me
I have experience in caring for children since 2002. I am also a mum of 2 young boys and a girl so have experience from newborn. I provide a safe, caring, fun environment which includes lots of arts and crafts, musical activities, baking, gardening, forest school, science and engineering activities and trips out to the park, museum and sure start centres to name but a few. I celebrate a range of festivals with the children and encourage food tasting from around the world as well as providing a range of delicious and nutritious meals.
I also have a cat who is very friendly. Due to this the children also have the added extra of learning to care for animals on a daily basis.
My Experience
As part of my training I was a teaching assistant for 18 months, I then worked as a nursery nurse for 9 years in 3 different private day nurseries. One of which I was room leader.
After having my 1st child in 2010, 2nd in 2012 and 3rd in 2015 I gained the extra knowledge and experience of looking after children from newborn.
I have been a childminder since February 2013

Cherubs Childminding have been taking care of my cheeky, challenging, lively little boy for 2 years. My littlest started going to Cherubs when his big brother started school and we didn't want the logistics of him remaining in the nursery they had both been going to. If I had found Cheryl and her crew sooner my big boy would have been in her setting until he started school too, as it is he had the benefit of going to Cherubs after school instead. My little guy has really benefited from the home from home supportive setting that Cheryl offers that you simply can't get in a nursery. I wish we'd found her sooner! The children are supported, encouraged and feel cared for, Cheryl takes time to keep parents well informed and included. I've got boxes of crafts as they're always making things, visiting interesting places, and Cheryl has given me loads of photos of my child that as parents we've loved going through. Cheryl's experience and her commitment to the children is obvious, she's never let us down (never closed unexpectedly, never called in sick - we've never had to look for emergency short term care since we found her) and as a family we couldn't recommend her enough.
She didn't even close when she had her beautiful baby girl earlier this year, and the standard of care she provides has remained consistently high.
I'm almost sad that my littlest boy starts big school next month, as he's been so happy in Cheryl's setting. Cheryl's really spoiled all the kids this summer, with trips to the seaside, farm and fairs, making sure my little guy's having the kind of summer I'd love to have given him if I wasn't stuck in work!
Thank you Cheryl, you've been a really important positive part of my little boy's life and I would happily recommend you to any parent who's looking for a secure, safe and fun environment for their little darling.

Chloe has been with Cheryl for over a year now and i have nothing but good things to say. Cheryl was great with working around my horrendous shift pattern when Chloe first started which was a god send! Chloe is 3 and never has any complaints! Well only one which is at 6pm she won't come home!! I've had my fair share of childminders and nurseries and I honestly haven't had one complaint about Cheryl. We will be very sad when Chloe has to leave to start big school!
** I would like to say in addition, this lady worked through her entire pregnancy and ensured our children where looked after no matter what, which as a working mum you'll understand how important it is to have reliable childcare.**

Cheryl was great with my little boy, he had nothing but good things to say about his time with her and her little boys. Would highly recommend :)
