About Me
My name is Amanda and I have been married to David for 33 years. I have a daughter who lives in Sheffield.
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder and have over 20 years of childminding experience.
I am a warm and friendly person. I have a friendly rescue cat called Dora who is about 6 years old and some goldfish.
I have a conservatory in which the children can enjoy playing with toys and letting their imagination and discovery grow. I have a large enclosed rear garden for outdoor play, we grow vegetables, fruit and flowers so encourage children to learn and enjoy growing and caring for nature. We go to regular toddler groups and activities. We love to visit parks, have picnics, visit museums, local libraries. We aim to have fun whilst learning.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for more than 20 years. I have minded children from the ages of 0 years upwards. I was last inspected by Ofsted in October 2024. Throughout my experience I have gained a good rating and strive to push forward.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level III Childcare and Education. Current Paediatric First Aid, Lead Professional Safeguarding Children and Food and Hygiene Have attended many childcare related training courses regarding the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

My Fees

I charge £45 per day. This covers 7.30 am to 5.30

My daughter started with Amanda in 2022, we had been seeking childcare for some time due to moving to a new area! Amanda prides herself on keeping herself updated with training. Amanda adores the children who she cares for. She gives regularly feedback regarding development and meeting milestones. Amanda ensures that the children are learning in all enviorment. With lots of learning outside. The children have an excellent outdoor space where they are encouraged with gardening, playing and exploring the world around them. The children will attend different groups and activities in and outside
Amanda's home throught the week.
Amanda has a wonderful way with the children and is very calm and kind.
As a shift worker, I have found that childcare can be difficult to source due to the irregular hours but Amanda was more than helpful in ensuring this all was easily accommodated.
We would have no hesitation in recommending her as a childminder.
