About Me
I am an OFSTED registered Childminder. I have a DBS and insurance to work as a Nanny and Babysitter aswell, from 0 plus, in your home. Childminding in my home. I can pick up from you and drop off to you if needed. I have many years experience and lots of references. Many families staying with me for many years.I enjoy taking the Children out into the 'real world' to learn how to behave in their community and giving them many learning experiences, that they can build on during their lives and a chance to understand 'public transport' too. I teach personal and road safety daily.
I like to take the children to Chester zoo, Blue planet, library, play centres, parks, toddler/music/art&craft groups and museums often.
I like to follow the child's interest, meet the child's needs and develop their learning and work closely with the parent/s guardian/s to progress this further. I feel if a child is interested they learn more and it also helps their confidence and language.
I am a Happy, flexible person. I do my best to try to meet your child's needs and your wishes. I teach first aid. This gives me the confidence to do first aid and keep up to date.
I attend any training I can often. This is usually in the evening or weekends.
I love baking, walking, reading and pets.
I love my caravan and Devon.
My Experience
I have been in childcare for a while now seeing many changes. I have worked in a special school, as a nanny, a foster carer and a childminder. Best of all, I am a parent and a Grandma. I have had many challenges and like to work to do the best for the child by following the child's needs. I am never afraid to try new things and have really enjoyed meeting the demands of my job and working to meet the child's needs and parent/s wishes.
I have learnt everyone is an individual and as such, to work out what works and what doesn't. To be flexible in my approach, while setting safe boundaries and allowing children to make choices for themselves. Happiness is very important to me. Also, giving children new experiences and lots of outings, which are usually covered in the fees. Most of all to provide a safe, homely setting for your child.
I have many years of experience of A.S.D, A.D.H.D Asthma, Allergies and such.

My Availability
Monday to Friday usually but we can arrange other hours and days that meet your needs.
As a Childminder/Nanny/Babysitter
As I live very close to the Countess of Chester hospital, the uni, Grey hound retail park and Chester city. Good bus routes. I do cover shift work and other hours, if needed.
SCHOOLS I cover are - the Firs school, Newton and Westlea school, Upton.

I feel very lucky to have met this childminder as she looks after my son with the same kind of priorities and care that I would.
She is so gentle, patient, considerate and generally thoughtful. Always out and about playing and exploring, lovely homecooked food and everyone develops and does things at their own individual pace.
All of her family are just as lovely and helpful too. Couldn't be happier and neither could my son. He skips to her door and gave her double hugs this morning! Says it all.
