About Me
Hi, my name is Katherine Henry and I am a fully registered childminder. I live with my husband and two young children on a quiet road in Totteridge, High wycombe. We have a black Labrador who loves children.
We moved to High Wycombe 20 years ago and in that time have made our family home and garden a relaxing, friendly and fun place to stay.
I make sure we have fun in everything we do, from mealtimes to playtimes and by following the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework these activities also help the children to learn and develop.
We like to walk and have toddler groups and 3 playgrounds within an easy walk of our home. Or if we want a change of scene there's plenty of space and car seats in our car to get us there safely.
There are lots of indoor and outdoor toys, games, books, crafts and educational tools available. With plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves, whether its noisy and messy or quiet and calm, there's a place and activity for everyone.

Hi, my name is Katie, I'm a friendly, caring and reliable mother of 2 girls. I have been child minding for the last 12 years and enjoy looking after all ages of children from newborn to school age. I find caring for young children a rewarding career and enjoy the fun and responsibility it brings.

Katie looked after our daughter from 1.5 to 3.5 years and we can honestly say we couldn't have asked for a better carer during these crucial years. Her home and setting are lovely, she communicated everything with plenty of notice and detail and was always willing to be flexible where possible. It was heart breaking for us all when we had to leave due to relocating. My daughter still talks about Katie and the experiences she had while in her care.
Without a shadow of a doubt I would thoroughly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a childminder in Wycombe.

Katie looked after my daughter from when she was 10 months (July 2013) until she was 2 years 1 month (September 2014). I cannot praise her enough. From the moment I met her I felt completely comfortable leaving my daughter with her and felt assured that she was getting the care she needed. I would agree with the previous review that Katie has a very patient and kind nature. My daughter will happily leap into her arms now when I drop her off, often talks at home about her two children and is excited when I tell her that she is spending the day with them.
Katie’s home is always presentable (difficult enough with two children of your own, let alone others to look after too!). There is always plenty for my daughter to do and they always get out in the fresh air even if that’s just in her very child friendly garden. Meals are always well balanced and home cooked and she manages to get my daughter to eat things that I never can!
I really would recommend Katie to anyone and it was only a house move that forced us to have to move my daughter into alternative care.

Katie looked after my son from the age of 9 months (July 2013) to 23 (Sept 2014).
I met with quite a few Childminders in my search, but when I met Katie I instantly knew that she was the one. She is friendly, warm and clearly very patient! And as she has 2 young children of her own, I was reassured that she had recent experience. Her house is very homely and welcoming with the garden designed for both fun (slides, swings, outdoor toys) and education (vegetable patch).
Katie provides a mix of structured activities; cooking, painting, arts & crafts and outings to parks and local playgroups/other opportunities to mix with other children.
Katie always did her best to honour my specific dietary requests and the meals provided were home cooked and balanced. I was always amazed how she could get my son to eat such a variety of foods when we struggled. Its for this reason, along with the ability to get him to wear a sun hat, that my husband and I nick-named Katie 'Mary Poppins'!
If you are considering Katie and would like to ask me any specific questions please do get in touch, but in summary we would highly recommend Katie.
