About Me
Hi we are Wendy and Rick and we are both fully registered childminders and have been childminding together for 17 years and live in the Bispham area With our two children aged 18 and 21and our pugs Mr Puggles and peanut and our 2 turtles. We offer a good valuable, flexible ,warm ,safe and friendly homely service. where the children feel valued and can play and learn in a relaxed environment and received a lots of individual attention and also interact with the other children. We offer a wide range of activities with in the setting and out in the community tailored around the children's likes and needs. We love our job as we get great pleasure out of seeing the children we look after grow into independent young children.
My Experience
We have worked as childminders for 17 years and before that i was a nursery for 10 years and have cared for children between the ages of 11 weeks and five years old.
My Qualifications
I have gained my NVQ level 2 and NVQ level 3 in childcare while working at the nursery where i worked for 10 years.my co childminder has also gained his level 3 in childcare. We have also gained many other certificates including my

My little boy started with Wendy and Rick when he was around 9 months old, after them being recommended to us we went to see them. From the minute we walked through the door you could see happy children in a really warm homely environment. They could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
They helped to get my little one to settle to sleep better and into a routine. They helped him to eat well and have a healthy diet also helped to get him away from only drinking from a bottle and so many other milestones. He’s doing really well at walking and I am sure this is down to their positive encouragement.
They do wonderful activities with them both in the setting and take them great places outside too. I really can’t recommend them enough, can’t imagine our little one being anywhere else. Seeing him happy there and knowing all the amazing experiences he gets is just brilliant. I don’t think I could have returned to work without feeling so reassured by them. They are not only there to support the children but are so helpful from a parenting view as well whenever I have asked for any guidance.
They are genuinely lovely, friendly, caring people and we are so grateful for all the special care they give and I can’t wait to see my little one continue to grow with their support

We took custody of our granddaughter and needed someone to look after her and her needs. When she first started she had just had major surgery from being born so premature. This had a massive impact on her dietary needs. From viewing on the Friday to her starting on the Monday Wendy had fully researched and adapted her menu to suit our grand child’s needs. They have helped teach her to walk feed herself and completely brought her out of her shell from her not so good start in life. She has excelled here and we love how family orientated they are. The activities the crafts the relaxation group there fully adapted home. There amazing. We can’t thank you enough for this last year and all your support.

My daughter has attended Wendy and Rick's childminders for the last 2 years after being recommended by a friend. She adores both adults, has built fantastic relationships with all the other children and has developed brilliant self care skills. She loves the outings, relax kids and all the craft activities provided.
I wholeheartedly recommend Wendy and Rick's childminders and would have struggled to carry on working without knowing my daughter was being brilliantly cared for. They really are fabulous!

Our twins have attended Wendy and Rick's from 9 months until starting school.
We have been very happy with the care received during their time there.
Wendy and Rick are always taking the children to activities at the library and zoo etc.
The girls have thoroughly enjoyed their time with you and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you.
