Lovely, happy environment

Trudi has been looking after both my boys for 3.5 years since my youngest was 7 months old.

She is an amazing childminder, in a home from home type environment. They have always been happy to go and enjoyed their time there.

They have been out on exciting trip to zoos, the aquarium, parks, picnics and more.

Trudi does fantastic activities with them such as reading a story then creating an activity from them which both my boys loved doing.

Her home and garden are just fab, with shopping containers with a soft play and dress up area, a boat which incites lots of play and a large play.

Both my boys have thrived and blossomed by going to Trudi’s in this friendly, safe and happy environment.

Lovely Setting

I’ve been with Trudie for about a month now. Very pleased. It took some time for my som to come around but now he reaches for Trudie when I do drop off. The setting is great with lots of toys and a softplay area.

A home - from home (but better!)

If you are looking for an childcare placement that is a 'home from home' then you could not do better than Trudi's. Our son was looked after by Trudi at her home from his 1st Birthday and we could not have hoped or wished for a more loving, caring and nurturing environment. Trudi's number one focus is the happiness and well-being of your child and the children who attend there spend the majority of their day laughing and having the best of fun. Trudi's house is a lovely, large family home which she shares with her parents (qualified childminders) and son. Her daughter (a qualified childminder) and lovely grandchildren regularly visit. This creates the most warm and loving family environment for children to spend their time in. For the 3 years that our son was with them, they were his second family and he could not have been more happy or more comfortable in their home.
Trudi has a wonderful and spacious playroom and an amazing garden, she loves to create new learning and adventure spaces for the children and the whole family often get involved in these projects including a full sized rowing boat in the garden, a playhouse and a beautifully refurbished shipping container that is used as a role play home as well as many other set ups. One of our son's favourite things to do was spending the day with all of his friends in their garden, in and out of the container and it meant even if the weather wasn't amazing, there was always an opportunity to get outside and in the fresh air.
Trudi also takes the children out on a variety of day trips to places where they can have fun and use their imagination and learn.
As well as being wonderfully silly and having the children in endless fits of giggles, Trudi also takes every opportunity to learn through play and whilst the focus is always on fun, Trudi has themes throughout the terms which she links in with the books that they read, the games that they play, the crafts that they make and the songs that they sing.
Trudi and her mum Lyn spent a lot of time with our son nurturing his love of reading and writing and the progress he made with them was outstanding.

Our son left Trudi's house a confident, secure, polite and happy little man who easily transitioned into his pre-school placement. 8 months after leaving them he still constantly talks about his time at Trudi's house, his lovely friends there and all the fun things that they did together.

We highly recommend Trudi as a childminder and continue to do so to any local families that we meet.
