My Summary
16Th September 2024
About Me
Hello Mums & Dads,
I'm no longer available until late 2025 thank you for you consideration.
I’m an Ofsted Registered professional nanny inspected on 11th March 2024 all certification supplied, with over 20 years of professional experience and 10 consecutive families under my belt.
I'm looking for a position from 16th September 2025.
I would definitely say that I am a career nanny and self starter who likes to keep my working environment shipshape and tidy. I love my career so there's plenty of laughter, love and cuddles to go around.
I naturally have a very good reputation of outstanding punctuality and reliability and my employers in Canary Wharf of 1yrs contract and my previous employers of 5yrs this will happily confirm that.
They would probably also say, I've a gift of understanding a child's needs even before the child does lol.. Years of practice!
I really enjoy what I do - I literally do turn up to work with a smile on my face! :0)
My Experience
I'm a fully experienced and Ofsted Registered nanny who truly enjoys, loves and respects the children in my care - I'm a naturally happy person who is very confident, friendly and chatty.
I have well over 20yrs professional nanning experience, sole charge/shared care with newborns, twins and proxy parenting, as well as a number of extra years in private nurseries.
All references supplied.
A little about my family.
I have three lovely children, both my two older children left university with first class honours degrees: Steph, 32 who has completed a fully funded Masters in Molecular Biology in South Africa and is a science journalist; and Alex 33, in Banking and Finance, who now works in Robotics Process Automation, Business Analyst/Developer for Deloitte.
Then there's my Olivia, 19yrs and I'm still in shock where did the time go! She has a naturally funny sence of humour and often says I have mother bragging rights. She's hoping to get into cyber-security and is studying I.T at uni this year 2024.
She's always been musical with drums and guitar you can often here her singing and yes as you can probably hear, I'm unbelievably proud of them all!
It is not easy being a parent it takes alot of hard work with plenty of micro managing at times as you can probably imagine.
I've been very lucky to have all my family around me. It allowed me to get back to full time work effortlessly.
I understand that it's sadly not always the case for everyone, that's why I hope to be a little more then a nanny, someone you will come to rely on like family that will alway do that little bit extra without a word said because I literally do care.
I am a naturally kind and nurturing person an amazing listener as well as talker with a vast knowledge of all child care needs as well as pre/postnatal parental mother and baby's emotional needs. I try to care for the whole family unit if needed..
So if I am chosen, all that knowledge could be yours for the taking lol..
There's not much I don't know about nurseries, schools and the childcare system. I have a lot of hands-on, practical experience that I would love to share with you.
I really feel my wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding is invaluable to all first time parents as my mum bosses always say, "Well Suzie, it's not your first Rodeo."
This really is no ordinary job, it's so much more then that for me. I'm proud to say, that this is my true vocation, I just love it!
As a native Londoner I have lots of practical knowledge on all the baby/pre-school classes and soft play centres available locally for your young ones to enjoy.
I have always been very active in my line of work and you'll often see me before work and after work zooming up and down mile on my push scooter.
Children really love being out and about it's so much fun going to all the children's centres, soft play, museums, organising play dates and activities for the little ones.
I have worked with over nine families for more then 4yrs in some cases on a full time/part time basis as well as a number of years in nurseries, and nanny shares.

I can be flexible on days if wishing to organise a nanny share but no less the 3 full days at 30hrs per week for a Nanny share £10.00 net each child together or £17 net single child or children from one family plus fares if a distance away.
I'm more then happy to negotiate and listen and to discuss all your childcare needs.
My present position at the moment is 5 consecutive days a week 30hrs. I would be happy to work 3 to 4 full days or a miss match of days with other parents in a nanny share, anything is possible. I'm always happy to negotiate terms.
Preference given to those families living in or close to E1 Tower Hamlets, Canary Wharf, Hackney or The City, Barbican, Islington anything considered really but no longer then 40mins travel please. I live right next to The Royal London Hospital Whitechaple Station and Shadwell tube/DLR. So please do get in touch if you feel I'm the one for you! Even if you happen to live further afield...
My last 9 families all consecutive, have lived in either Canary Wharf, Stoke Newington, Southwark, then moved to Wapping, Shoreditch, Hackney london fields, and Bethnal Green and Narrow St in Limehouse. One lovely family even lived on a boat near Tower Bridge St Katharine's dock and the City.
My present family live in Canary Wharf.
I am sorry to say I don't travel with families any more as I have family commitments of my own but baby sitting is always available if needed..
I'm hoping to find a lovely family that needs a gentle and kind nanny; with bags of energy and experience. Most of all, a nanny who is lots of fun to be around, full of laughter, and has plenty of love to give, and who is more then happy to muck in and help out... :o)

Who are absolutely wonderful and spoil me rotten!
Now available 16th September 2025..
Almost all my employers keep me on for all the birth, up to three foundation stage and then up until nearly 5yrs in some cases. They seem to feel my years in child care act as a good educational foundation for their children.

I am writing on behalf of Suzie who we employed between 2013 to 2016. Firstly, I want to stress there is no other like Suzie, from the moment we met her we knew she was the person we wanted to help raise our children.
We initially opted to employ a Nanny as I suffered with severe Post Natal Depression with my first child and the second time around we wanted to make sure we had support. Suzie definitely was that support! She was amazing with my son Isaac who was 2years old at the time and wonderful with my new born Maya. She always made sure she gave Isaac attention and he didn’t feel left out with a new sibling. In turn he became more of a confident little boy and a lot happier. He was always shy but Suzie took the time to gain his trust and feel comfortable.
Suzie also worked with us for our routine with Maya. We had made a lot of accidental parenting mistakes with Isaac so it was lovely to have someone that could guide us without being dominating in the slightest. I felt entirely at ease knowing Suzie was on hand and in turn my Post Natal Depression was not as severe as the first time.
As important as it is to make sure a child’s basic needs are met (clothing, feeding etc.) what I loved about Suzie is the way she made sure both my children were happy, stimulated and had fun! There were always activities from playgroups, to picnics with other nannies and children, visits to the farm, singing workshops and many more. Both my children were always excited about seeing Suzie, as soon as the key turned each morning they would both run to the door! A good sign if any! My friends joked that whenever they saw her with the children she was like Mary Poppins and they always asked me where did I find her.
Suzie has many strengths, but what I admired most in Suzie is that I could sense this was not just a job to her, it was something she genuinely loved doing. She would come in and just know what to do to make my life easier, the breakfast would be made for the children, they would be dressed, teeth brushed, no tears and she would even go above her call of duty and tidy up!! When the children were ill she knew exactly what to do and nothing fazed her not even when they both had chicken pox or when they were vomiting. There were times when I needed the children to be taken care of overnight and Suzie was great with her flexibility and would accommodate. She would always be professional, punctual and never took any time off apart from her daughters Graduation which she gave me plenty of notice for and from what I can recall I am pretty sure she never took a day off sick. She was extremely reliable.
I am so pleased that we decided to go for a Nanny instead of putting the children into a nursery, it really was the best decision we made. With Suzie both my children had 1:1 attention and flourished. I don’t believe they would have got that anywhere else. As a family we were all so sad to see Suzie go and had it not been for the fact that both my children went into full time school we would never have let her go. She became a member of our family and still is. She is there at the children’s birthdays every year and we still see Suzie as regularly as we can and both the children are excited about our meet ups as am I! Suzie would be an asset to any family and I mean that whole heartedly. She will always be a part of our lives and is one in a million.
We offered Suzie the job on the spot. Her references were amazing and we thought we'd found our perfect nanny. She said she was over the moon and extremely how excited she was at the job. The idea had been for our 2 year old to continue at nursery and for primary care to be for our 6 month old. Suzie was insistent she's like our eldest to be at home with her too, so we took her out of nursery.
Suzie worked one day for us. She'd planned an action filled day of events and sent regular pictures. We were so happy with our choice. The following day however Suzie contacted us via Whatsapp to advise she didn't have the stamina for the role and our house was too big.
To say I was devastated is an understatement. Not least because we lost our second choice nanny also as by then she had accepted another role. We are searching again and hope to find a lovely nanny, but this experience has left us quite scarred. Finding someone to look after your child is a difficult process and you just hope you meet genuine applicants who can do what they promise to do.

Response by Suzie_E1 on 09/07/2017:
Due to the passive aggressive nature of your response, which I do not appreciate, I am now more certain than ever that I have made the right decision to seek employment elsewhere. As for the genuine applicant comment, I can only assume that you are trying to undermine my future professional career.
Furthermore, after an extended 12 and a half hour (sole charge) trial period, I informed you the very next day that I was not comfortable in taking the position. I gave you some of the reasons why I could not take the position, to which you replied that you appreciated my honesty. I didn't sign any contract with you and hold my right to refuse a position where I would not be comfortable.
I sincerely hope you find a nanny for this September, and I wish you and your family well despite your review. I understand finding a nanny is difficult, but I also believe that mutual respect is important.
Any prospective parents wishing to enquire further, please contact me regarding the above.
We contacted Suzie for a nanny job.
Unfortunately she isn't available but she kindly gave us some advice and recommend useful contacts to us.
Thank you Suzie!
Unfortunately even though I wasn't in a position to be able to work with Suzie, she took the time to speak with me, offering suggestions and advise.
Suzie went out of her way to help which she absolutely didn't need to do and was so kind.
Someone will be very lucky to have her as their nanny!

Thank you so much Vicki, for your kind words.
It was a pleasure to talk to you too and if you should ever need any advise you know where to find me.
Best wishes always,
Suzie x
Although Suzie already had a job she was kind enough to answer all my questions about hiring a nanny. Her kindness and wealth of knowledge comes across.
Suzie has the best profile on here which drew me in straight away (believe me I have read lots of profiles!)

Thank you so much for your kind words,
I am always more then happy to help any parent who may need a little guidance in their search for that special nanny.
My very own nanny once said to me, whatever you give in this life is what you'll receive. She was not wrong! Lol...
Always look for the nanny that brings the best out in your children.
Kindest Regards always,
Suzie Xx
