Nicky is the best childminder money can buy

My children have been with Nicky for over a year now.

My son is a preschooler age 4 and my youngest is 2.

Both my children love Nicky's. My oldest loves the toys she has after school and has really bonded with her son. My son gets the experience of an older sibling in another place.

My youngest every Sunday always says "Nicky" and calms down in the morning when he knows he's going there. He runs to the car when she collects him. He recites the names over and over again of the other children she looks after.

Nicky is such a warm person, and you feel this really is her passion, more than just a job. My youngest has completely stopped using bottles, can walk and talk, starting to learn numbers and letters all under her care. He's very advanced for his age, I owe it all to Nicky.

No childminder beats this one. I 10000000% recommend Nicky to everyone.

Quite simply amazing - THE BEST childminder!

Nicky is quite simply amazing.

She’s kind, understanding, flexible and builds such strong bonds with all the children she looks after.

We genuinely feel so lucky that we found Nicky.

Both our boys struggled to adjust being away from us when they first started, but Nicky was patient, friendly and consistent which meant that both boys settled so well with her and absolutely loved being with her. Our eldest son has spent 2 and a half years with her and our youngest has been with her for a year and in that time Nicky has become like part of the family to us.

She takes them for trips to soft play, days out to Willows farm, baby groups and parks as well as having an amazing range of excellent toys and equipment at her house. They are always full of enthusiasm about what they have been up to with her and talk about Nicky all the time with such fondness - all of our friends and family know exactly who Nicky is because our eldest talks about her so much!

We are only leaving because of a change of circumstances means drop off etc no longer work, but to say we are all gutted we have to leave her is an understatement.

Best Childminder

As new parents we didn’t have much knowledge about childcare and what could be best for our little one. Firstly we have sent our 1 year old son to nursery. After couple of weeks we could already notice that he was only getting more and more upset and even started to be afraid of other children and he wasn’t himself. We decided to find more homely care.

Nicky has been an absolute blessing! As soon as she welcomed my son into her home I felt assured that he’d happy there.

Nicky offers a very professional, caring childcare service in a homely, loving environment.

Her level of compassion and understanding has made a real difference to my toddler. He started to be much more confident and got on very well with other children. He had plenty of trips out and enjoyed the various arts and crafts activities they did. I could see how much he was learning and developing every day.
We were very sad that moving house meant we had to leave and have yet to find the same quality of care.

I would highly recommend Nicky if you’re considering a childcare. She always goes above and beyond to keep the children and parents happy. She’s flexible and very organised and reliable.

We feel very lucky to have found Nicky

We feel very lucky to have found Nicky and have her look after our daughter. Our daughter has spent two or three days per week with Nicky over the last year and a half. She settled in really quickly and has always looked forward to spending time with her and the other children she looks after. Every day is different and Nicky organises a wide range of activities, crafts according to the season/topic/special day, educational games, outside play etc. as well as participating in local toddler groups, trips to soft play and to Willows Farm. I always look forward to seeing the photos and hearing feedback from the week. Nicky takes an active interest in our daughter’s development, identifying areas to help her further progress and we notice the difference it is making. Nicky is reliable, flexible and a fantastic childminder that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Best Childminder

I can't recommend Nicky highly enough she looked after my youngest daughter from 9months to 3 years old. My daughter loved going to Nickys each day and came home happy. She learnt huge amounts from her and was confident with adults and children when she went to nursery. She also knew her phonics, numbers more than 10 and was able to write her name before she started nursery which really helped her.

Nicky looked after my daughter like she was one of her own treating them all the same and giving them the best opportunities she possibly could.

Nicky also looked after my oldest daughter several times over those years and again made her feel welcome, safe and happy. They both loved their time with Nicky and she is definitely a Childminder to consider and use!

We couldn't live without her!

My children are both under Nikki's care and have been since August 2018 when we moved to the area. My son was just starting in reception and my daughter 18 months old. They had both been at a day nursery in our old home town. We'd had a previous experience with a different childminder there too and hadn't been very keen to repeat this. But the experience with Nikki has been completely different and we honestly couldn't manage without her. We wouldn't never think of changing back to a nursery now. Her flexibility and kindness has helped us on many occasions and we all love her! Nikki's environment is fun and nurturing and we now think of her and her children as friends of the family.

My son is now nearly 6 and goes with his 3 year old sister to Nikki in the mornings and is then dropped off to school, and sometimes does days during the school holidays. They both love going to Nikki's house! My daughter is with Nikki all day and has learned so much with her. She has the most wonderful experiences of going to play groups, music group, Willows Farm, and also doing so many activities at Nikki's home. We get regular photo diaries of her time and she is so well settled. Because Nikki is Ofsted registered, we are able to use the Government funding and so my daughter will continue with her until she goes to school next year, and beyond hopefully! Having a childminder we can trust, who loves our children, has made us so thankful we made the decision for them to go to Nikki.

An angel in disguise! x

Nicky looked after our first son part-time from about 8 months and then full-time from 12 months up to the age of 3, as well as my second son when he came along.

It is a very scary and emotional experience trying to find someone to trust with your babies, but when we met Nicky we just knew that she was a loving and nurturing person.

I truly do not have words to describe how much calmer it made me to know that my boys were safely with her. She loved them to bits and spent so much time teaching them different things, doing various activities, taking them to groups and focusing on their personal development. This was extremely important to me!

I was heart broken when it was time for them to leave. They have never stopped asking when they will see her again and "can we go to Nicky's house?". We still meet up because Nicky loves seeing them and the feeling is mutual. If we did not have to move Nicky would definitely still be taking care of our boys. I would have loved to take her with us! :-)

She is 1000% an angel in disguise.
