My Summary
Ofsted Registered Nanny
About Me
I am a very caring, patient, dedicated, conscientious, good time keeper, responsible driver with clean licence and I'm not afraid of hard work and ofsted registered..
In my spare time I enjoy shopping, spending time with family and friends, cycling and walking my dog.
My Experience
I have been in childcare since 1997 and worked in nurseries for 12 years caring for children from birth to 5 years. I then went onto been a nanny 15 years ago after wanting a more personal emphasis on childcare. I started my nannying career by starting to care for 3 children on a full time basis who were aged 2, 4 and 6 but was no longer required after the parents working hours were reduced.
I then went onto working for a family who again had 3 children aged 1, 2 and 4 had been with them since October 2010 but unfortunately I was no longer needed as mum was leaving work in the armed forces to stay at home full time.
In October 2011 I started working part time looking after a little girl starting at 6:20am and finishing at 8:40pm some days as mum was a nurse it was a case of doing shifts which also included doing sleepovers at the family home. On the days I would be working i would be needed to give her breakfast, take her to nursery, go out on outings to a range of places from the beach to soft play centres. Then it would be collecting from nursery taking to martial arts classes, making her meals, bathing her and getting her ready for bed but basically everything her mum would do for her if she was not working. But sadly at the end of August 2014 I was no longer be needed as mum's hours are been reduced and several payments that she receives to pay for childcare are been stopped as her daughter will be attending full time school from September 2014.
In October 2012 i began looking after 2 brothers aged 3 & 5 taking them to school/nursery and taking them on outings especially during the holidays, but in September 2013 I had to end it as I was no better off money wise as I was paying so much out on petrol.
In March 2014 i started looking after a 6 month old girl whose mum worked nights so I was there to care for her whilst she slept and also on an evening when she went out to work but before the baby's dad had arrived home for the night. But unfortunately that ended today with no notice given as mum and Grandma was going to share childcare.
I can completely understand how parents may be a little apprehensive about having somebody else in their home but the one main reason I went into nannying was to have a more personal emphasis on caring which is a bonus to both parent/s and child/children as they would be cared for in their own home surrounded by familiar objects. Plus I am not there to be nosey and would be there just to care for the child/children. Distances in travelling to work are not an issue as I have worked in Leconfield before and I live in Hull so it is generally a 45 minute drive on average.
In April 2015 I started nannying for a family with 4 children 19 month old twins and girls aged 5 and 9 years. Unfortunately this ended August 2015
In October 2015 I began working for a family as a nanny for 4 children, who were 1, 4, 5 & 7. I worked Monday - Thursday's 8am - 6pm.
In August 2016 I began nannying for a family with 3 children who were 6, 3 & 1.
In July 2017 I began nannying for an 8 month old boy on a full time basis. Unfortunately the parent has decided that as of June 2018 I will no longer be needed as their personal circumstances have changed.
Then in July 2018 I started caring for a brother and sister who are 1 and 7 for 3 days a week. That post ended February 2019 as parents working hours were reduced.
April 2019 I began looking after a brother and sister aged 1 and 5. The little girl had been diagnosed with autism previously.
I worked full time generally doing 50 hours per week. Unfortunately the parent no longer needed me as her job got ended.
In July 2020 I took up the position of a nanny caring for an 11 month old. I would take her to playgroups, soft play or even just the park but as it was around the time of covid we were very much limited in the beginning as to what we could do. but I still ensured I met her development goals and participated in activities at home like painting. Unfortunately in March 2022 I was no longer needed as the family were moving abroad.
In May 2022 I started looking after a 2 month old baby on a part time basis and became a good support for the mum as she was basically a single parent. I still care for her occasionally ensuring her needs and development are catered for.
In September 2022 I began nannying for 4 siblings who were 11 month old twins, 3 year old girl and 5 year old boy who also has slight autism.
I would take the children to playgroups, soft play, the park and we do activities at home. I would also do school drop offs and pickups. Some days were early morning starts and evenings could be a case of working later in the day so would do the bedtime routine. But sadly in March 2023 the parents decided with no warning to send the youngest children to nursery. But no reason was given for this and I am 100% certain it was nothing to do with the care that I gave to all of the children and will miss them all.
In May 2023 I began looking after an 11 month old on a part time basis from 2:30pm - 9pm.
I would give her an evening meal and bath her before putting her to bed.
Mum was leaving job to attend university and family were going to help with childcare when not at nursery.
In October 2023 I started looking after an 11 month old boy taking him to playgroups and looking after him in his own home.

Caroline has been absolutely amazing with my little girl since she started looking after her in May, I cannot fault her at all. She continually goes above and beyond all my expectations, she is very punctual, trustworthy and reliable and will be an asset to any family. Caroline has created a wonderful bond with my daughter and treats her as if she's her own and makes sure to take her our on walks every time she looks after her no matter the weather. She is truly an amazing nanny and I cannot recommend her enough.

Thank you so much for the lovely review. I have enjoyed every second I have cared for your daughter. I hope to be able to stay in touch with your family and will miss her very much :-(
Being a first time mom, and single parent, I was struggling to look after my baby. Caroline has been simply amazing and her presence gave me so much confidence and support to look after my baby. She is hard working and responsible.
I am looking forward to have her again, once I'm back to work.

Thank You for the lovely review. I immensely enjoyed caring for your little one. I believe I also built up a good bond with her and she with me.
After been in childcare for 25 years I'm happy to give any advice and support that is needed. I also look forward to the opportunity to look after her again 😊
Caroline has been looking after my daughter since she was around 10 months old and until recently, when we moved abroad. She is a very good nanny, caring and very attentive, always creating something new and interesting to do with children - you can see easily she really cares about her job and the children!
She has been very useful when I had to go back to work during COVID and was always able to help when required, even on short notice or for long shift when I was travelling and my husband was working.
I really recommend Caroline and my daughter loves her, and I think this is one of the best feedback you can get ;-)

Mia was an absolute pleasure to care for We enjoyed all the activities we did and outings we were able to go on even though it was during COVID. I look forward to hearing from her mum with updates on her development and seeing pictures as she is now living abroad.
Caroline has been looking after our son since he was born - he is now 7.
Caroline shows genuine interest and concern for our son and is always so gentle and caring with him.
I could always count on her to help even at short notice. I couldn’t have continued in my job without her as she picked up my son regularly, fed him and even did his homework with him.
I believe she will be an asset to any family.

The review is really good and thank you. I enjoyed the whole time I cared for Andrew he is a really pleasant little boy with nice manners and helpful if required 😊
Caroline started working for me at a difficult time in my life, looking after my little guy and honestly she went above and beyond in all aspects.
She was so attentive with him, making sure to give him a variety of experiences from play groups, to gallery visits and trips to the farm, deep and so much more. She was also clearly focused on making sure he met his EYFS targets.
She took it upon herself to bring him toys and resources that aided his development, from loaning us a walker and ball pit to bringing in craft supplies. She was full of initiative in this way, even taking it upon herself to help me with my ever increasing pile of laundry while little man slept. She never liked to be idle and always liked to be helpful.
She was such a help and support to me in so many ways, not least her wealth of knowledge and we were all very sad when a change of circumstances meant we could no longer keep her on. She still keeps in touch with us and little man and it's clear to see that every child she works with holds a special place in her very big heart.
