About Me
Hello, welcome to 'Twinkle's childcare', my name is Natalie.
I am a mum of two, a Registered Childminder and a qualified Art teacher, amounting to over 19 years of experience working with children and young people. I have a warm and spacious home and a garden with lots of safe play equipment. I am fun loving and enjoy getting involved with the children, we do lots of painting (inside and out), baking (cakes, bread etc), we get out and about as much as possible i.e to groups or on country walks collecting sticks/leaves etc.
Day trips out to places of fun and interest such as; farms, softplay, Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, and the Airport.
Working in collaboration with other child minders, I take the children out weekly to experience the natural world first hand through forest school activities, offering regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences.
The children’s days are always varied and filled with fun activities including dressing up, art activities, fun science experiments, role playing, baking, building blocks, puzzles, and reading books. There is outdoor play all year round including a mud kitchen, Wendy house, slide, climbing frame and vegetable plot. The children also go on regular trips to the library, fish centre, parks and local shops. Older children are given the opportunity to complete homework with support and guidance, as well as time to relax and play.
I drop off and collect from my local school, Upton St Leonard's Primary.
My Experience
Over 9 years childminding and 10 years + teaching children and young people.
I have taught children with various special needs and have worked in multicultural schools. My experience as a teacher and a background within the Arts means that I can offer a range of fulfilling activities in an environment that is safe, welcoming and fun.
I provide a professional, friendly and safe childcare service in a warm, welcoming and homely environment.

My son joined 8 months ago when he was a year old. He was a very clingy child and didn’t like being with other caregivers beside myself. When he first joined he hated being dropped off and wouldn’t sleep. Natalie held him and made sure he felt safe and reassured and now he absolutely loves going and runs straight in and smiles when he see’s Natalie and has made a friend. The children have a good range of activities such as art, playing role playing games and going outside. We have found he is learning so much from being there. If there is ever an issue with behaviour, sleep or other Natalie is good at letting us know and giving advice on what she has done and what we can do so we are consistent with him and this has really helped us. Would definitely recommend to other parents

My daughter was born in November 2021 and from day one she was always a clingy baby and never wanted to leave my side even when sleeping. Natalie has changed this, she now sleeps by herself and her development is amazing. She is a fast crawler and she is standing with confidence. She is exhausted when she comes home from all the fun they have been having and as a first time mum I love to see the message we get with all the activities they have been doing as well as photos. I personally thinks this suits us a family really well and I like the personalised touch of being able to text for advice or if we are unsure on something. Amelia now loves being around other children and she is constantly trying to interact when in public. This is all down to the work of Natalie. If you have any doubts as a first or a second time mum Natalie is your women to talk too!

It was a bit difficult to for my boy to socialise being a lockdown baby! Natalie is amazing ...made him love her! She is taking the kids for walks and do many activities every day and manage to send photos of the day too! See has a lot of childcare knowledge, she is professional...she advised me for my older son when I needed...I wish had space for him too but I already had him in another childcare.
She really is a superwoman ...I don't know how she manages having also 2 kids herself!

I was looking for more of a home from home environment for childcare for my daughter Doris. Being a lockdown baby I felt the larger nursery settings were overwhelming and less personal. Natalie goes above and beyond and has exceeded all of my expectations. She takes a genuine interest in the welfare of the children in her care and has offered lots of invaluable tips and advice to a first time Mummy! Doris couldn’t be happier, she is stimulated, interacted with and engaged with other children in a caring environment. Activities are both inside and outside with lots of photos and updates given on a user friendly app. I couldn’t recommend Natalie highly enough!

As a first time mum and first time choosing childcare, it was important that I chose the right place for my little boy. I’m glad to say I made the right decision in choosing Natalie.
He absolutely loves going and happy to see her in the mornings. Each day is full of exciting activities and adventures.
The communication is great, I love receiving my mid afternoon update followed by photos of him enjoying his day and playing with his friends.
Despite him only being 1 and not able to walk (yet!!) he is still included in all of the activities with the older children which is helping his development and learning.
I would definitely recommend Natalie to everyone and would 100% use her again in the future 😃

When looking for childcare for our second daughter we looked no further than coming back to Natalie after she had looked after our first daughter for the previous 3 years.
Natalie's days are filled with fun and interest in a wonderfully nurturing, loving and safe environment.
We had to make the very hard decision to move childminders simply due to moving house and our eldest starting school and have struggled to find anyone who can match our high standards set by Natalies brilliant care.
You certainly won't regret choosing Natty to look after your children. My only wish is that she moved with us!

Natalie is caring and warm yet extremely professional. I was a bit nervous about sending my son to childcare as he was a lockdown baby, however has settled in so well and loves his days there! Natalie does lots of fun activities and gives those in her care a range of hands on learning experiences. I love getting photos and updates throughout the day!

I’ve been with Natalie for over a month now and I’m very pleased. Eli settled in very quickly and Natalie gives me updates through the day along with photos. Eli always has a smile on his face in the photos and enjoys the cats and days out with Natalie.

Definitely 5 star childcare and would highly recommend!!
I knew from first meeting Nat that she was the right person to look after our little one. She is very personable and definitely child orientated. Our little one has settled in straight away and is very happy to be dropped off each morning. Nat focuses a lot on the children’s development with plenty of different activities to keep the children engaged. We love her daily updates and pictures of what they get up too - it always looks like great fun!

My daughter is my second child with Natalie (Nat still does the school run for my eldest who has been with her since he was 10 months old and is still bursting with excitement to spend Summer holidays with her). I wouldn't have considered putting my daughter anywhere else, it was never going to be an option for me. My daughter has been there since she was around 8/9 months old (she is nearing on 2 now) and she absolutely loves going to Natalie's, I have never ever had an issue taking her - she almost takes herself through excitement. Natalie never has a "lazy" day there is always something meaningful and fun planned for everyday no matter the weather. They learn so much, have so much fun and get to have experiences that they would never get at nursery or might not get at home even. You and your children become part of the family, and you just know that your children are loved and nurtured every day that they are there. We well and truly landed on our feet choosing Natalie as our childminder!
