About Me
Hi I am Fiona, mother of three and Ofsted Registered Childminder with level 3 qualifications in childcare.
I provide a fun, safe environment whether we are in our large garden or going out for the day to parks, toddler groups or the beach.
We grow our own vegetables which I use to make healthy meals on a daily basis.
We love animals and have a dog and three cats. I am, however, very particular about hygiene and safety where animals are concerned whilst guiding the children to be caring and responsible towards pets.
We love to play outside with the multitude of toys which include sand pit, play houses and slide.
We also like to sing, dance and generally enjoy ourselves.
I love good manners and respect for one another.
I pride myself on my flexibility which enables mums and dads to go to work without distraction.
My Experience
My greatest experience comes from being mother to three children; Sam 24, Amy 18 and Lucy 17. I am able to deal with any hurdles that may present themselves in a calm and collected fashion which results in a safe environment where the children feel that they can be themselves.
I have been a childminder for over 15 years and am happy to say that any one of the parents would provide a favourable reference which confirms that I provide a flexible service which centres around the needs of the children and their parents.

I am Ofsted Registered with a good rating and I have achieved my level 3 qualification in childcare.

My Fees

I am happy to discuss these with anyone who wishes to contact me. I am also able to provide funded places and accept childcare vouchers and tax free childcare.

My son (2.5 years) has been with Fiona since April 2024. The flexibility she is able to offer and also the frequent outdoor play is what made her setting perfect for me. From day 1 Fiona (and family!) have established a lovely relationship with my son, provide feedback so we know what he's been up to for the day and been accommodating to any changes in pick up/drop off times. Quick to respond to queries and a fantastic role model and environment for my son.

I found Fiona when I was looking for a childminder for my three-year-old son. She was the first person who answered my message and we agreed to meet. After the first meeting I realized that my son will be comfortable with her and they will get along. My only one fear was that my son didn't speak English and I was worried how they will understand each other? And here is the result: two months later my son can talk English in sentences! In this time Fiona has become the best helper and teacher to my son and our family found a good friend. She is our fairy! Fiona is wise, patient and cheerful. She will definitely find the right word for every child. Every mother has something to learn from her! If you want to feel comfortable that your child is safe and well looked after while you are busy with your own things then this is the place to come. She is amazing!! Highly recommend!

Fiona is amazing! Lovely caring nature. Me and my son immediately felt at ease and he really enjoyed his time with Fiona.

Fiona is a super nice lady, easy to get on with and made my child feel at ease quickly. She is flexible which helped me out massively at times. My child gets on well with all the children and I have noticed in the short time of her being there just how much my daughter has developed socially and brought her out of her shell.
Being my first time leaving my child with someone I didn't know, with fiona I felt comfortable with my child in her hands with no worries at all. Highly recommended

Fiona was the first and only child-minder I visited over 2 years ago when I was looking for care for my 9 month old son Finley. She was very welcoming and had a very loving home and knew straight away that Finley would be happy there.
I was definitely right as Finley is very happy, his development has been absolutely amazing and I know Fiona has a lot to do with this with all the fun, learning activities she puts on for them, including day trips out.
My daughter Bella has now also been with the family for the past 9 months, and as I knew she fit in perfectly too and is just as happy as her big brother.
I cannot praise Fiona enough for everything she has done, not only for my children but for myself. She is a loving, caring, supportive lady and I do not know what I would do without her and her loving family. I feel I drop my babies off to a second family, rather than a childcare provider :)

Fiona has been my son's child minder for the last 3 years, when I was first looking I was struggling to find someone who not only got on well with my son but also with myself, a big ask I know but I really liked Fiona and got on very well from day one.
Everyday is a good day in Fiona's house, what I like the most is she has 3 children of her own and she treats them all the same, she has a fantastic big garden with lots of play equipment outside as well as educational games.
The children are well looked after and always having fun, she organises lots of days out in the school holidays which keeps them all occupied and not getting bored.
Nothing is too much for Fiona she also looked after my son at short notice which I am so grateful for not everyone can do that - she is an absolute star - I dont know what I would do without her.

Fiona looked after my children, Michael, 6, and Suzie, 5, for several months last year and they both always really enjoyed themselves and would come home with lots of stories of all the things they had been doing.
Fiona made everything so easy and was completely accommodating from day one when my work commitments changed times. Nothing was ever a problem and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fiona to anyone.
Most importantly when I needed a childminder, I wanted someone who would look after my children how I do, provide good healthy meals, and it was just like home. Very warm, friendly and welcoming, and Fiona helped Suzie settle into her first year at school brilliantly. Thank you so so much for everything. :-)

I had to find a childminder at short notice over the summer and I am delighted that we found Fiona.
Fiona has a great rapport with all the children in her care and really does a great job in combining firm and fair in her approach. My son is able to relax and enjoy his time with her after school and I am happy in the knowledge that he is being well looked after and is safe and happy.
Fiona is always flexible which is a real boon if you need some extra support at short notice.
I've asked my son for his own thoughts about being at Fiona's house and asked him what he likes the most and he said "everything really", which I think says it all.

The most important thing for me about choosing the right child-minder is knowing I have peace of mind that my children are safe and happy. Therefore I thought the views of my eldest son would be relevant. Max age 9 years says " I like Fiona because her dinners are really nice and healthy, she has a great garden with a climbing frame". I have 3 children 9, 6 and 5 years, my middle child has speech dyspraxia and Fiona has been amazing with them all. She has fun with the children and is always welcoming I know that I rely on Fiona to care for my children as if they were in their own home. She always tries her best to help wherever possible to meet any extra requirements and has been a life saver at times for me at the last minute. At mealtimes it is lovely to see all the children sitting around the table together using appropriate table manners in a happy environment. I am very happy to have Fiona as my child-minder which she has been for the last 3 years at least and I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I think its very hard to find someone you feel happy to leave your children and I have been lucky to have found her she is great!! Thank you so much from Melanie, Max Luke and Laila Xxx
