My name is LINDA BRACKNER, I am an OFSTED registered Childminder and Early Years Teacher. I hold a BA (Hons) degree and an Early Years Teacher Qualification (EYP). Formally PACEY Facilitator for Derbyshire (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) sharing best practice. I have 25+ years experience. I am also a Qualified Steiner Teacher. Formally Nursery Manager. GCSE Maths. A Level English. I am married to Neil, who works alongside me as a childminding assistant and have two grown-up children, Katie and Neil who are also registered assistants.
I would like to welcome you and your family to share my home and to share with us a journey of exploration, nurturing and fun!
I offer high quality childcare in well equipped, homely environment. A truly child centred environment where each child is respected as an individual. Plenty of opportunities to learn through play. Large garden. Lots of activities: cooking, craft, gardening, toys etc. Outings: Close to Shipley park, play parks, library etc.,
EARLY YEARS EDUCATION FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR 9mths, 2, 3 and 4 year olds - 15/30 hours flexible funding - Lots of options of how to spread your entitlement - Please enquire.
My Experience
I have had many years working in childcare and education, which began in 1991. I have had a variety of different experiences in different settings, from Childminding, setting up Parent and Toddler group, Kindergarten assistant, Kindergarden teacher, Private Day Nursery foundation stage teacher, Nursery Manager of large chain of Day Nurseries - (120 children and 32 staff!), Nursery Early Years Lead, and back to my first love, Childminding!
I have experience of working with children with: Allergies, Anapylaxis (Epipen), Asthma, Autistic spectrum, Challenging behaviours, Developmental delay, Dietary needs, Downs syndrome, Emotional and social needs, Epilepsy, Hearing impairment, Language/communication needs, Learning difficulties, Need for medical intervention, Physical impairment, Visual impairment.
I am dedicated and committed to my work with the children, who in turn bring some extraordinarily rewarding and treasured experiences.
I fully understand that you need to feel reassured and confident that you have made the right decision when choosing the best childcare for your child(ren) and I am therefore available to help with many aspects/concerns of childcare informally should you require.
My Qualifications
I have a BA (Open) degree and an Early Years' Teacher (EYP). I am also qualified Steiner Teacher. I have attended various auxillary courses inc. parenting etc., hold a Paediatric First Aid Cert, level 2 Food Hygiene Cert, Behaviour Management Cert, Safeguarding Children Cert, Outdoor play, and have attended various conferences, including S.E.N. and Inclusion. We were previously grade 5 with Food Standard Agency, now childminder exempt.

I work between 8am-5.30pm MON-FRI with other times available by arrangement

Linda and Katie are wonderful, caring childminders who provide a fun and stimulating environment for children in their care.
Our daughter is now 5 and has been going to Linda & Katie from the age of 8 months when I returned to work.
The environment is very child friendly and the whole family have a wonderful bond with the children in their care.
If you are looking for a 5* home from home environment where your children will be treated as individuals then look no further!
I can't recommend them enough.
