About Me
Hi I am mum to Olivia (12 years), Jacob (7 years) I love being a mummy and all the adventures it entails. I am very passionate about my work and strive to provide the best possible care for each and every child.
I work hard to ensure that I'm always providing the best that can for all my families. I'm dedicated and passionate about the children I care for, making sure they have a happy and enriched childhood.
My setting provides a home from home environment. Caring for your child as you would.
I take the children out daily to visit local libraries, farms, oceanarium, playgroups, beaches, nature reserves and parks.
I use an online secure system called Baby's Days which allows me to share as much of your child's experience whilst they are with me as possible. The system provides an app so you can get updates throughout the day about what your child is doing.
My Experience
Registered in 2013 I have over 10 years experience as a childminder. I regularly update my knowledge and training in line with current standards. My experience in age ranges from 3 months to 8 years, providing a safe and stimulating environment for all ages. We are very outdoorsy and will be out and about all year round.
I work closely with local agencies, accessing any additional support that may be required for a child's learning and development. In the last 10 years I have gained hands on experience in working with agencies such as, speech and language, SENCo and ‘family outreach' to support both the child and the family. I'm proactive and work hard to ensure that everything is in place to give every child the best learning opportunities whilst in my care.
My Qualifications
I have completed the NCMA CYPOC 5 (preparing for childminding) course.
I hold a current, valid Peadiatric 1st Aid Certificate.
I hold a Level 3 Diploma in early years Childcare and have attended several local courses on child development.
Heuristic play.
Behaviour management.
Higher level safeguarding.
10 week special educational needs and disability local training.
Signalong foundation trained 2022.
Early Years Professional Development certification 2024
Sensory Processing Training
Food hygiene level 2 certified

Kim is a very professional childminder and is also very caring and attentive to the children. We were lucky that Kim was able to take our son on at short notice. Kim made us all feel very welcome and the home from home experience suited my son really well. He can be a little bit timid, but Kim helped him to feel comfortable and didn't make him do things that he didn't want to do. Offering alternatives or waiting until he was ready to take part. Kim took the children out most days to do lots of different activities. My son always came home tired but happy! Overall, it was great for his development and a very positive experience. We would recommend Kim as a great childminder.

I'm so glad I found Kim, she's has been absolutely amazing for my children.
My eldest loved his time with Kim and he still loves to go now during the holidays. My youngest still goes and his face lights up when he sees her. She is warm, caring, patient and fun to be with. Always doing something and getting out and about.
I couldn't recommend her enough!

Kim is amazing with my 2 years old son, she is always very helpful and flexible with pick ups and drop offs. My son is very confident and happy to be supervised by her.
They are always out and about and experience new things, excately what a toddler needs to help their development and keep up their interests.
Highly recommend her!

Our then 10 month old daughter got a last minute placement after responding badly to going to nursery. Kim was absolutely incredible taking her in, making her feel safe and even sacrificed her free day to accommodate our needs. There wasn’t a day that Kim didn’t take the kids on a field trip - from the library, to local farms and parks, she went out of her way to entertain and educate the kids. We moved countries which is why we had to pull our daughter out of her care, but she thrived with Kim and gained so much confidence. Can’t recommend her enough!

Kim has been amazing with my 19 months old boy. She is very natural and relaxed person. They did lots of crafty things, visiting different places and 2 days never been the same. My son literally did not want to leave, he really loved being with Kim and the other toddlers. Thank you for the experience!

My daughter started going to Kim from 11 months of age and I was very worried to leave such a baby with a stranger. Kim made her feel at home, with amazing support and professionalism. My daughter absolutely loved going to Kim and she misses her a lot now. I would highly recommend this childminder :)

Our son Bryn was with Kim from 10 months to 3 years and we really couldn't have found a better childcare provider. She brilliantly managed her team of well-trained, caring staff, and gave an all round experience to our son which enabled learning across all areas. Leaving her care was a difficult decision! and I hope we will always be in touch.

Kim looked after my daughter from the age of 2 for nearly 8 months. My little one had a fantastic time there and often didn't want to leave at the end if the day! Kim's home from home style wrap around care always left me feeling confident that my little girl was being well looked after. I would definitely recommend Kim.

My daughter is 18months old & has been attending Kim's since October 2015.
Kim is fantastic! I couldn't fault her professionalism & attention to care.
Her setting is wonderful offering the kids a huge space, full with a wide variety of toys/games inside and out.
I would highly recommend Kim.
