About Me
I live in Haverigg, a little village on the outskirts of millom in cumbria.
I live with my husband David and our pets. We have two sons who are now adults and have moved out but are frequent visitors and so are their children.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with all relevant qualifications and lots of love and patience. I now offer the 2 year old funding and limited space 3/4 year old funding.
I regularly attend local playgroups and library club with the children, go on days out to local attractions and the park, the ducks etc.
I also attend any training available that is relevant and do courses online if I cannot attend.
We have 1 cat.
My Experience
I have been a childminder in Cumbria since 2010 and for 10 years in Yorkshire before that. I have brought up my own 2 children who are now adults and have always had a houseful of children.
I have previously helped run a playgroup and have also helped out long term at a local nursery.
I look after children from birth onwards and have all relevant equipment.
I provide a safe, loving and learning through play environment with visits to toddler groups, swimming and outings to the parks and local attractions.
My Qualifications
I am ofsted registered and first aid trained.
I also have safeguarding, food hygiene, autism and nutrition among others. I attend any training when able and when relevant to childcare.
My Availability
I currently have no vacancies.
I am also available for babysitting.

My daughter attended here from 2 years and I couldn't have asked for better care and support for her. She made so many friends and was a great start to go onto nursery. She has learned so many crafts and has had so many great days in and outside. When having to go to work in the holidays and knowing your child is excited to go and does so many wonderful things is a relief. She enjoys every minute you cannot ask for more even now she's 8!

As a first time Mum with no immediate family support around and a demanding job Julie provided excellent care for my little boy from 6 months to nearly 3 years. My son thrived in her care, a true family setting with lots of learning through play and clear boundaries needed for a very head strong little boy. Julie was a pleasure to work with responding to my sons needs without hesitation. My son had such a connections with Julie, heart renching to change to a nursery setting when the time was right for my son and my husband changed jobs which meant the commute to Julie was nolonger practical.
