Nanny/Mother’s help

Job Type: Full-time or part time, live out Clyro/Hay on Wye.
(Use of a Car and Accommodation could be part of the package offered)
Location: Near Hay on Wye, Powys
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Summary: We are looking for someone emotionally intelligent, caring, kind, child centred, highly communicative and adaptive to our family’s of soon-to-be-five’s needs. We have 2 boys aged 12 and 14 plus a baby due in July and are living in an exceptionally beautiful home overlooking the Black Mountains.

We need someone experienced who can play a nanny-type role predominantly with the baby, and also take over all of the children’s needs when we are away or busy with work, with kindness, flexibility and energy. We are experienced parents looking for someone hard working, relaxed and calm, as opposed to a more traditional nanny.

Some of the time the nanny will need to be as comfortable with meeting the needs of (very mature) teenagers as they are with a newborn/toddler.

The nanny will be required to sometimes travel with the family, and sometimes house and dog sit when we are away. You will be rewarded by Joining a fun family in a beautiful home and location.

Essential Skills:
• Full drivers licence and experience of driving. A share of the week’s school runs of over an hour will be an important part of the week’s tasks.
• A kind, patient, and nurturing personality.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Desirable Skills:
• Love of cooking from scratch
• Love of animals and the outdoors
• Good sense of humour

Housekeeping Duties (depending on candidate):
• Assist in keeping our home clean, organized, and running smoothly (with us and alongside our excellent cleaner)
• Handle laundry, ironing, and folding
• Assist with meal prep, cooking and washing (depending on candidate)
• Run occasional errands and help with shopping
• Assist with looking after our two dogs and ever-growing collection of animals (chickens, goats etc) (depending on candidate).

Working week and timescale:
Hours to be decided within 0730-1800 daily. Must be happy to be not needed, but available, some days.
6-8 weeks per year house and dog sitting or travelling with the family.
Occasional babysitting
Paid holiday

There may be an additional driver/handyman/cleaner/gardener and or admin role available for a couple looking to relocate.
