About Me
Hi, my names Laura! I have been a in childcare for over 18 years. I have had six permanent jobs and in between I have done temp jobs. I currently work in a school where I work in the preschool (age 2-4) but looking to get back into nannying. Before I got into nannying I was working in a local nursery, I now have my own little girl who is 7 years old and i would like to hopefully find a job where I could bring her along with me when needed.
I am very passionate about my job and have always been brought up around kids and this is why I do my job! I think it's one of the most rewarding jobs and such a great pleasure knowing you're part of a child's up bringing. This is why I am in this industry because I have such a passion for looking after children and watching them develop.
My Experience
I started at the age of 17 and passed my NVQ level 2 in childcare after just 6 months! I then moved on to my NVQ level 3 and whilst I was doing that I was offered the position of supervisor which I took on and enjoyed. I learnt a lot about planning and also now have lots of different ideas for crafts and meals for children.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 2 (childcare)
NVQ level 3 (childcare)
ELSA (emotional literacy support)
My first aid is up to date and I renew it every three years.
I have a clean driver licence too
I also have been on a food hygiene course and a safe guarding children course.
I have an up to date DBS and also pay yearly for it to renew.
I have nanny insurance which I pay yearly for.
My Availability
I need to give a months notice in my current job at the school.
