About Me

Hello, I am Wendy,

I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I live with my husband Adrian and my two children, Robert (23) and Sophie(18) in Aldershot. I have very friendly setting, where all children are encouraged to play, learn and grow together. I have been a childminder for the last 18 years - registered in 2007.

In my last inspection I received an OUTSTANDING grade in all areas of learning with no recommendations - (Feb 2022). This is my 3rd Outstanding grade in a row (2012, 2016, 2022). I also have good references too. My setting includes a play room and a large secure garden. I am in a good location for St Michaels Infants / Junior Schools, train / bus stations. / A331 / A31 / M3

I have a no smoking policy. I also have no pets.

Why choose me as a Childminder?
I provide a warm and caring environment for the children. A home from home setting, where children feel safe, valued and loved. Children learn whilst they are playing. I do lots of activities, visit different parks, go to play groups, soft play centres, feed the ducks, visit the animals at the garden centre, library - it varies each week. We also do Boogie beats music who come out to my setting every few weeks for a music session. I have lots of toys and resources for all ages and a large variety of art and craft. I do messy / sensory play too - (water, ice, spaghetti, cereal, gloop, foam etc).. I also have a large enclosed garden for the children to play and explore in. As well as meeting up with other childminders who have similar aged children. I try and do something different each week. I also care for children before and after school - many of whom have been with me since their first day at school or since they have been a baby! - after school they can do craft, play games, or just chill after being at school.

I am flexible compared to Nurseries with hours / days. Siblings can be kept together rather than being in a different room like at a Nursery. Smaller adult to child ration for under 5's. Less children which leads to more individualised learning.

I work in accordance with EYFS Framework.

I can provide the funding for children aged 9mths upwards - as long as parents meet the criteria.

I accept payment via government tax free payment scheme - childcare choices.

I do before and after school care for children who attend ST MICHAELS Infant / Junior Schools in Aldershot.
