About Me
*DEGREE EDUCATED* I find that there is nothing more rewarding than watching children learn as they explore the world around them whilst giving them stability, consistency and keeping them safe as they do so.
I am an experienced child care giver having worked with children from newborns - 10 years old and on the ofsted register.
I moved to the UK from New Zealand 17 years ago. I am extremely reliable, have a BSc (Hons) degree, a full clean UK drivers license and my own car. I am really used to commuting long hours (1.5 hours each way currently) and we are thinking of buying another home in London so I am likely to be living between London and Kent.
My Experience
I am fully capable of caring for multiple children full time throughout the day and have been told that I am caring, gentle but most of all FUN (with enough energy to run around taking care of a busy household). I have completed my paediatric first aid certificate and work with children and adults with additional needs including those with severe autism, behavioural difficulties or requiring the use of a hoist/wheelchair.
It is really important for me that the family’s I work for are up to date on current childhood development research. I am a fan of attachment parenting, building a secure attachment so that children feel safe to explore the world. I don’t like strict discipline and prefer to teach children the words and to recognise their own feelings and needs so that they can calmly express themselves clearly and as care givers we can respond empathetically.
I like cooking healthy nutritious meals for children, enjoy laundry and love looking after family pets of all kinds as well. I believe that education, learning through play and experience, is key to raising happy, secure, intelligent children. I am available to tutor older children academically and am not afraid to get messy either cooking with toddlers or playing in mud puddles and read a great bed time story (with voices of course!).

I have used Sarah on a number of occassions for babysitting and nannying for my 3 children and have been very impressed with her, she has been excellent and is very experienced and reliable.
She has organised activities with the children and they have thoroughly enjoyed being with her. She is very sensible, down to earth and a natural with children. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sarah for babysitting and nannying.
