Hi!
I am a 40 something year old with 3 children aged from 15 to 19 years of age who I live with in Croydon.
I enjoy reading, being around children and animals and love to be outdoors!
I also enjoy baking and arts and crafts, although the results don't often turn out the way they were planned!
I can be fun, adventurous and a little bit silly at times but overall I like to think of myself as a kind and caring person who has children's best interest at heart.
I hope you will consider me when making the difficult decision of choosing a child carer.
My Experience
As well as having my own children, I have worked in Nurseries for 20 years and have held roles as Room Leader, SENco and Student Co-ordinator. I have cared for children aged 0-5 years within a nursery setting as well as having my own experience raising my three daughters.
I currently work with mothers with mental health needs and their babies, supporting and advising them in all areas of their child's care and development.
I have experience with Special Needs, having worked with and cared for children with Autism, Down Syndrome and Visual Impairment including my own daughter who has some Special Needs herself.
Unfortunately I do not drive, however my Motto is 'Have Oyster Card, will travel!'. I love to get out and about and have taken groups of children on day trips including to London. I find travelling by public transport offers children the opportunity to learn about the world about them and it makes an otherwise boring journey fun and interesting so please do not be put off by my lack of drivers licence! Although my experience is Primarily as a parent and as a Nursery Nurse, I feel this would be beneficial to any family I work with as I am able to relate to families on a personal level and also have a great deal of knowledge of child development and the EYFS, enabling me to help any children in my care to grow and develop through fun games and activites. My experience working in an inpatient setting with mothers and babies has also given me extensive experience with supporting new parents and caring for babies round the clock from new born to 1 year.

BTec National Diploma in Childhood Studies (Qualified Nursery Nurse)
Valid First Aid Certificate
Child Safeguarding level 3
Certificate IJsselmeer BLS and PBLS
Trained SENco
Level 2 Makaton
Certificate in Fire Safety Awareness
I am not currently registered with Ofsted but can be if required.
