About Me
My name is Sharon Irvine. I am a registered and insured childminder with the Belfast Trust and offer a professional, high quality, extremely reliable and affordable childcare service in a warm, loving, happy home from home.
We enjoy lots of age appropriate toys and activities in our play room including crafts, baking, dressing up, role play, lego, jigsaws, play dough, stories, outdoor play, a large play house/den and regular visits to mums and toddlers, local parks etc.
For older children, school and nursery drop-off/pickups are available (ST ITAS and ST.JOSEPHS) along with a quiet place to do homework and a wide variety of toys and activities including crafts, lego, kinex, jigsaws, outdoor play, visits to parks and the option just to relax after a long day at school! During the summer full day care is available with lots of activities and trips to parks, museums, national trust gardens, folk museum, the beach, farm etc. to fill our days!
I include healthy home made lunches and snacks as part of my service and can cater for special diets.
I strongly believe that in the right setting, home based childcare provides the most natural and least stressful form of daycare for both children and parents, where a children can grow, learn and develop in a loving, secure environment and parents can be assured they are being cared for in a safe and happy home from home. As such, my daily routine is based very much on the needs of the children in my care, in partnership with the needs and wishes of parents.
My Experience
As well as the experience of being a mother to three boys, I have 30 years experience as a childminder for all age groups and also for twins, newborns, those with special diets, additional needs and those for whom english is not their first language.
I have past experience working in a family centre with early years children and parents and in a voluntary capacity in many children's projects and organisations as well as a private day nursery, and so have worked with all age groups and children from many different backgrounds.
References from many happy past families available on request and my most recent inspection report is available to view if required.
My Qualifications
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Home Economics which includes nutrition, health and social care and child development.
I have up to date training in all required areas of paediatric first aid, child protection (safeguarding) and health and safety.
My Availability
TWO vacancies Monday, Tues & Thurs will be available from SUMMER 2025 for babies.
I am always happy to take enquiries from parents who might be interested if a place becomes available.
My normal daytime working hours are 7.45am - 5.45pm but I am flexible according to the individual needs of each family.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are very competitive. I do not charge for any of my own holidays (taken within school holiday time) or public holidays.
All meals and snacks are included in the price and are home-made using mainly non-processed ingredients.
Fees are payable monthly in advance, I accept childcare vouchers and am registered for tax-free childcare.
