More details-
I hold paediatric Level 2, basic child protection and First Aid at work certificates. I helped a childminder with outings, food preparation, arts and crafts, reading stories and organizing suitable and age-appropriate activities to engage the children in learning. I have helped children grow and develop from over 3 years of their life and have created close bonds but also have experience with short-term child care. I love to help children grow and develop and am passionate about education and achieving the best possible.
I have a child development GCSE in which I have developed this knowledge fist hand seeing the children grow over the past 3 years. This includes, learning to walk, talk and potty training. I try to get the child engaged in everyday tasks and activities, such as making pizza, playdough and paint (Cornflour so it does not matter if they put it in their mouth). Also I like to explore multiple forms of play, including sensory play, songs, music/ instruments and rhymes, stories, puppets, threading unusual objects such as cheerio’s to develop fine motor skills. I am a firm believer in learning through play and adventure and having a camera and note pad handy so I can keep moments of discovery to share with you. I am also passionate about keeping up to date learning journals whether online or paper based and sharing what the children have done with parents. My recent degree in Criminology studied child protection, learning theories and childhood issues. I wrote my dissertation on child behaviours and emotions and how they are effect by parental divorce/conflict. I also have CPD in child development. I have several contactable references.
I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them and helping them grow and develop. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny.
Thanks for your consideration.

My Experience
• I have some experience with autism. I have experience in other special needs in both children and adults at my Volunteer work at Forest Pulse Special School, Speech House Road, Coleford, where I helped children with a range of special needs and disabilities with activities including swimming.
• I also went over to a Kenyan Primary School for 2 weeks, where a played with the children, repainted the school and planted some vegetables. The children knew little English, so I was able to develop my communication skills.
• I have done voluntary work in 2 different nurseries and a primary school.
• I first experienced caring for a particular child at a greater level than simply playing with them in my GCSE child development, where I did a year’s study on a one-year-old child. Where I compared the child’s development stage to the appropriate levels of the EYFS for the age group.
• I use the disciplinary technique of the parent, if our approaches to discipline change or are different it confuses the child and is less effective. As I progress with the relationship with the children I develop a technique which is effective as this is different to each child’s needs.
. I having acting and singing experience and know many Disney song and nursery rhymes, and encourage creative play and outside play and trips (I love Windmill City Farm)
• I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them and helping them grow and develop. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny.
• I am happy to do extra duties for you, like cleaning and cooking dinner for the children.
• My strength lies in multitasking and organisation, which is a key trait when dealing with multiple children. I have good time management, which is especially beneficial when giving each child his or her individual attention.
