Linda was superb with our 6-month old, she was really kind, attentive and flexible with his dietary requirements.
We would highly recommend Linda to anyone who needs a childminder in the Peckham area.
Our daughter has spent 3 days a week with Linda since she was 7 months old. I was worried about leaving her when she was so little but felt that Linda really cared about her and her wellbeing, doing whatever was necessary to keep her content and happy - she used to cuddle her to sleep. As she's grown, Linda has adapted to her changing needs. They go out, do lots of arts and crafts and read books. Linda shows the level or care, understanding and skill that you always hope you will find in a childminder. Our daughter has always been happy to go to her house and waves goodbye to us happily.
Linda has also been really flexible about occasionally late pick ups, or adding an additional day in the week when we've been stuck.
Linda has been a wonderful childminder for my daughter, who has been with her for nearly two years. My daughter has always loved attending Linda's setting, as Linda has made it a home from home for her as it is clean, comfortable and, most importantly for my child, Linda has lots of toys and role play activities which she loves playing with!
Everyday Linda takes the children out in the local area for a walk and fresh air, and to play at the park. Pre-covid she also used to take them to rhyme time at the library, the city farm and museums, but she made up for not being able to go on longer trips by doing a wide range of fun activities at home in instead. This includes lots of crafts, baking and messy play, and she always plans fun events to fit the time of year (St. Patrick's day crafts, Queens birthday tea, Chinese lantern for lunar new year etc).
Sadly my daughter has just finished at Linda's as we are moving house, but it was so lovely to receive a large book filled with all the art my child had done in her time there which Linda gave her on her last day. This will be such a lovely thing to keep and show my daughter once she is older!
Linda has shown she really cares about the children she looks after, and my daughter was crying when she knew it was her last day as she is going to miss her so much! She really has been fantastic, and took lots of precautions during the lockdown to keep the setting and children safe, and I really appreciated this (and the fact she stayed open as I am a key worker).
My son has been attending Linda's setting since he was 10 months old. He is now three and a half and off to pre-school next term! We hope to continue to use Linda for childcare in school holidays, space permitting.
Linda has always been very understanding of our childcare needs and was able to accommodate my changing work schedule when I worked in a rota-based role. Even now, if we occasionally need to swap a day or add an extra day she is happy for us to do this. Pre-covid, she took the children on daily outings to places such as the playgroup in All Saints church hall, rhyme time at the library, Horniman museum, Vauxhall City Farm, soft play and of course the many parks & playground we are lucky to have close by. Despite the current restrictions she still takes the children out each day and provides excellent indoor activities including sensory play, crafting and baking. Linda lives very close to a small park and playground which is perfect to take the children to play in if it's not a great day for going further afield.
Linda has remained open as much as possible throughout the pandemic, offering a small home-from-home childcare setting which has been an absolute godsend for us! It's small enough to feel safe and we know that our son will be able to see his little friends there which has given us all a sense of routine and normality. We will be very sad to say goodbye!
I am so happy I contacted Linda for childcare for my daughter and son. She looked after my daughter two days a week and picked my son up from school 3 days a week. I found looking for childcare so stressful but she made the process stress free. My daughter settled in wonderfully and enjoyed her time with Linda. Linda’s home is lovely and homely with lots of activities to keep her busy. Linda is very active and takes babies out every day whether it’s playgroup, Park or the farm. I was so sad when my job came to an end but as soon as I’m back in work I’ll be using Linda again. If you’re looking for a loving caring and understanding person who is child focused then Linda is the lady for you! Don’t hesitate, she is so friendly and you will have no issues what so ever
