SHINING STARS CHILDMINDING - My name is Jane Kay and I work as an Ofsted Registered Childminder alongside my husband Neil Kay (Neil registered in August 2015 as an Ofsted Registered Childminder and is a fully qualified teacher of 8 years). I am 53 years old (Neil is 51) and we are Mum and Dad to George aged 15 years and twins Harry and Joseph aged 12 years. We live in Saxilby and have 2 large playrooms, kitchen, bathroom and large garden, all of which are equipped with a wide range of toys and resources. We also have a large undercover play area for all-weather outdoor play. We offer a warm, caring and fun environment for the children in our care. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS). We offer lots of activities including messy/sensory play, music sessions (Neil is a musician and plays a range of instruments), role play, dressing up, books and lots more! You are very welcome to make and appointment and meet our family and home/setting at a time to suit you.
I offer free government funded 15 hours early years childcare places for 9 months+ and 2 year olds and free 30 hours government funded early years childcare places for 3 & 4 year olds (certain eligibility criteria applies.)
My Experience
When our first son George became one year old, I became a Childminder for 2 years before going on maternity leave with our twin boys Harry and Joseph who are now 9 years old. I started childminding again when Harry and Joseph were 1 year old. I love working with children and have strived to continually improve my setting, resources and my own knowledge through continual professional development.
My Qualifications
Both myself and my husband have a BSc Psychology (Honours) degree, which included 1 year in Child Psychology.
Neil has full qualified teacher status and holds a post-graduate PGCE.
I am also a private Therapy Counsellor with 10 years experience.
We have both completed Paediatric First Aid training and continually undergo training courses in line with our continual professional development.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday - very flexible hours.
I am also registered to provide overnight care.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.15 per hour
My hourly rate is £5.15 per hour for early years children and £4.75 per hour for children in full time education.
I offer full time, part time, term time only, before/after school and holiday places.
Very flexible hours.
