My name is Suzanne Brampton (52 years old) and I live in Brookmans Park. I am married with two girls who are 20 and 18 years old.
I live in a spacious house in Brookmans Park with a large garden that backs onto woodland. I have a big playroom filled with toys and books.
I have been a registered childminder for 18 years. I have been rated 'Good' by OFSTED. I have lots of experience with children of all ages and I provide a very active and stimulating environment for them by doing lots of different activities. We spend lots of time outside in the local area and go to the woodlands, playgrounds, playgroups, libraries and Toddler sessions. Your child will have loads of opportunities to meet other children and make friends all in preparation for school when they are 4 or 5.
Activities will include cooking, blackberry picking, making dens in the woods, dressing up and role playing with other children. Visits to Hartham Common and playground in Hertford, St Albans Verulamium Park and playground, Hatfield House Bloody Hollow (I am a member), Maidenhead Aquatics, Broxbourne Sculpture Trial and lots of other places.
My hobbies and interests are tennis, yoga, cooking, food and reading (when I have time!)

My Experience
I keep up to date with all the new Early Years Training at Herts for Learning that is available to me. I have done a training course on Personal, Social and Emotional Development in the Early Years.
I have also done a training course on 'Schemas' (patterns of repeated behaviour which allow children to explore and express ideas and thoughts through their play and exploration).
I have attended workshops for The Prevent Duty & Anti-radicalisation. I am a fully qualified First Aider.
I worked in Marketing for 10 years in London before I had my first child and then I became a Childminder after she was born.
I have worked with a number of children ranging from 1 years old - 5 years old for nearly 13 years. We originally lived in London and moved to Brookmans Park 10 years ago.
Being a parent of two girls has given me invaluable experience on childcare.
I have a strong interest in food and cooking and love sharing this with the children I look after. I enjoy watching them grow, learn and develop in a home based environment.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
£8 an hour this covers lunch, snacks, playgroups/activities/travel/PPE equipment, hygiene products
I don't charge for state school holidays when I am not available to work.

Suzanne is absolutely brilliant! She childminded my young son for 18months after I withdrew him from nursery, seeking an environment where he could go out during the day for fresh air. He had this in abundance with Suzanne, whose lovely home backs onto woodland where she takes the children daily. Whilst with Suzanne, she took him to different playgroups and parks with other children to socialise throughout the week. Suzanne is lovely and cares so much about the children, sending updates on what they’ve been up
To. My son loved her and was always safe and so well looked after. I would recommend Suzanne to anyone in need of a local childminder.

Suzanne is a brilliant childminder. She has a dedicated room in her house for childminding which is spacious, airy, clean and has a large variety of toys. She has a lovely large garden with lots of outdoor toys for the children to play with. Her communication has always been excellent with us, and she sends photos of what our daughter is up to during the day. They are always exploring different places and I have no doubt that my daughter loves every moment she spends with Suzanne. She is calm and caring and our daughter has flourished in her care. Thank you Suzanne. We will miss you! xx

My son has been with Suzanne since he was 11 months old and he is now nearly three. Suzanne has always been so kind and caring and tried to help us out with our childcare needs. Our son has loved going and playing with the other children and her own daughters. Her house is a great space for children to play in with a lovely playroom and garden which backs onto a wood and park. Suzanne has provided lots of opportunities including cooking, craft, trips to playgroups, music groups, the library, farms and lots of lovely woodland walks. She always updates us with photos and a description of what he has done for the day. She Is always available to talk if you have any problems and will do her best to help. We feel he has learnt a lot from going to her setting and are so grateful for the opportunities he has been given.

Suzanne has looked after my two year old for nearly a year and I can’t recommend her enough. They do so many activities and are out and about all the time. Felix loves being with her and gets very excited as we pull up to her house every day. She provides fantastic daily updates and is great with all the paperwork around the EYFS. Ofsted need to amend their rating to ‘outstanding’ as far as we’re concerned. We really landed on our feet finding Suzanne.We’ll be sorry once he starts nursery that’s guaranteed!

We are delighted to provide a reference for Suzanne. We think Suzanne is a wonderful person and a fantastic childminder and what is more, so do our two boys. Suzanne has given our children a highly enriching home from home childcare experience. She takes the boys to lots of toddler groups, parks, on outings and lovely woodland walks as well as engaging in cooking and craft activities at home. Suzanne always provides daily reports of activities, photos and records development. Suzanne is exceptionally thoughtful and reliable and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her to care for our children. Both my children found Suzanne's childcare setting very relaxed and welcoming, with my eldest son wishing to stay with her instead of going to nursery twice a week and both boys hugging Suzanne if we bump into her. We cannot recommend Suzanne highly enough as a childminder and hope to continue with her caring for our baby daughter when I return to work.

My son started with Suzanne when he was two, he’s now three years old and has always enjoyed his childminder days.
Alongside numerous home-based activities, I love that Suzanne takes the children out every day to a variety of places where they can explore, interact with other children and enjoy the outdoors. My son is never bored, nor is he over-stimulated - the balance is just right.
Suzanne’s manner is very calm and caring. I have full confidence that he is safe and well looked after. She is also professional, reliable and I am very happy to recommend her to other parents.
