Our eldest started with Nikki when he was just 8 months old and, after his initial week where he was a little challenging (he was only 8 months after all), there is nowhere he would rather spend his time. Now, whenever we get in the car he will always ask if we’re going to “Kikki’s” (his name for her) and often runs into the house without a backward glance (or doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day).

All the positive vibes I got when I met Nikki to see if she was the right person to look after my little one were well founded. She is, quite simply, one in a million.

She goes above and beyond to make sure my little boy has the best time when with her but is no push over – which is definitely needed now he is a toddler and a determined one at that – and works with me and my husband to understand where she can help develop him too, which is really apparent when around other children. In fact, most people think he is older than he is.

Being such a curious and adventurous toddler, we often get calls from his nursery about accidents our little one has had, but somehow Nikki manages to let him explore and play without the bumps and bruises. She also manages to keep her house in amazing order considering the tornado that is our toddler.

We love getting the updates and pictures from her during the day and then hearing our little boy’s version of his day when we pick him up – he’s so animated about it all. He especially loves telling his little brother now, who will be joining him at Nikki’s next year.

Fantastic

Our little one started part time with Nikki when he was just 1 and his favourite pastimes were putting stones in his mouth and throwing himself off sofas and soft play equipment! He settled in with her beautifully and thankfully didn't give her a heart attack! She was great at making him (and me!) feel secure, and it was a lovely calm but stimulating setting for him. She also took him to some of the same baby groups we had been going to which gave him some continuity. If it hadn't been for Covid he would I am sure still be with Nikki but instead we just have to enjoy catching up with her and the girls every once in a while 😊

Childminder you can trust

On meeting Nikki we had an instant positive feeling. She understood and helped us with the initial first time separation which is always difficult for mother and child. Nikki continuously kept us updated which was a great help and reassurance. My daughter always looked forward to going and made amazing progress within herself and all age appropriate activities. Nikki is kind, understanding and her qualifications, experience and knowledge not only help the children she cares for but the parents too. I would absolutely recommend Nikki as a fantastic and reliable childminder.

An Absolute Lifesaver

Nikki is without doubt the best childminder we’ve had for our two boys. She is friendly, dependable, trustworthy and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to early years.

Nikki took care of our eldest son for 3 years before he started school, and she is currently looking after our youngest for 3 days a week. Nikki came highly recommended from a friend and I would recommend her to anyone. From day one she has treated our boys like they’re part of her own family. She is naturally very caring and nurturing and that comes across in the care she provides. Both of our boys arrive at Nikki’s house with a huge smile on their face.

Nikki is great to deal with as a parent. She’s incredibly friendly and flexible, and will always help out if she can. Communication is always fantastic and we receive regular updates and photos during the day so we know the kids are having a great time.

Nikki has also worked on developing the boys including social skills, manners, speech and writing skills.

Nikki and her family feel like an extension of our own family. I don’t think we would could trust or rely on anyone better to care for our boys.

A member of the family

Nikki has been amazing since the moment we met her and she got down on the floor to play with the kids. She initially looked after my 3yo daughter for 6 months before she officially started preschool in September and now looks after my 1yo son. Both of my kids absolutely adore Nikki as do we! She is calm, caring and firm but fun. She goes above and beyond to help where she can and I don’t know what we’d do without her! She’s a brilliant childminder and there’s no one I could trust more with my kids. She’s become a firm part of our funny family and we thing she’s amazing!
