My Experience

I am Ofsted Registered and received an outstanding grading in September 2015 and again at my recent inspection in February 2020. To read my reports go to Ofsted and type in my URN which is EY393470

I have been a childminder since March 2009

The age range of the children I look after are from 9 months to 8 years
I am available in term time, half term breaks, in-set days, school holidays and Easter holidays.

My hours of work are Monday to Thursday
8.00am-5.30pm.

I can drop off and collect children from Claygate Primary School. I can also drop and collect from Jigsaw nursery in Claygate.

I offer an environment rich in learning, play and most importantly fun based. I provide plenty of activities for the children based on their likes and interests i.e. painting, play doh, arts & crafts, board games, imagination play, small world, puzzles, cooking etc. Outside I have a very child friendly garden with a slide, trampoline, swing and climbing frame.

When the weather is good we cycle and use scooters to go to nursery and or school. Most days I go to the local parks including Richmond, Bushy, Lynwood rec and Claygate rec. I also like to make trips during half term to the local farms i.e. Horton Farm and Magic garden in Hampton court. I attend a number of mother and toddler groups Playmates Claygate, cheeky monkeys in Hinchley wood and cheeky chimps in Hampton court.

I am forest school registered and like to be out and about even if its raining as I believe children thrive in an outdoor play and learning environment which we do most days even in the rain!!

I offer varied nutritious meals and water and snacks are provided throughout the day.

For babies up to 3 I provide a daily dairy, which is very useful as it details, food, sleeps, activities etc during the day. Between 3-5 learning is based on observations and working alongside nursery/parents and most importantly the child.

I have attended a number of childcare courses:-.
CHIP Childminding course.
First Aid Course.
"What to do if" safeguarding Children including further courses on Prevent duty, Online safety, Child exploitation and FGM.
EYFS years 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 years training
Promoting positive behaviour

Communication
How a child developes from years 1-5
Level 3 diploma in childcare

I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage which sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to 31st August after their 5th birthday.

My Availability

I currently have availability for 2 children on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday & Thursday (full time 8am to 5.30pm.
